You might have already found this, but this is the only source I could find. repairpal.com/2002-mitsubishi-lancer-has-check-engine-light-on-when-scanned-shows-code-p0456-294 You will have to check all those places that they mentioned for leaks. Also, you already replaced the gas cap, did you reset the code after that? To reset a code. you will have to unplug the battery for 1 minute and plug it back or you can use a code reader to erase the code. cheers
