I remember seeing one of these cool cars for the first time 25 years ago. It was parked in sombody's driveway and I couldn't resist walking up to it and looking at it up, close, and personal....for a good 20 minutes!!! After that, I never forgot the name....a real cult italian classic.....indeed!!!!

As an Italian I'm very proud of Lancia. I come from a family of "lancisti" and I think that between the last 70's and during all the 80's Lancia made some of the most beautiful cars in the world. Lancia Beta coupè and Beta Montecarlo were among those wonderful cars. I think that's unbelievable that FCA is going to close the brand Lancia. I hope something will change in next future.

Lancia Beta Montecarlo was my first car in 1987. It was champagne color with black interior.

One of these was rotting on a drive of one of the houses on my paper round. Haven't seen it for about a year so it must have been scrapped :( My dads fixing up our Lancia Delta HF 4WD soon though, one of only 9 in England!

The body colored bumpers, 2.0 Turbo engine and other modifications really make all the difference to this Lancia MonteCarlo. A pity both the Monte Carlo and the Beta ended up gaining a bad reputation with the rust, brakes and reliability, one can only imagine how things would turn out if both were better executed as well as featuring longer production runs (to at least the late-1980s), more powerful engines and even AWD Integrale variants.

This was the street car that the 037 was based on, but that car was completely different. The street versions of the 037 were called Stradale.

Only the middle section of this car is the same as the 037, the rest they changed (customized) on the 037

I would love to get a scorpion and make it look just like this... any idea where one could procure the pieces for the body? like the quad headlights and grill, front bumper, how was the rear widened with a kit or is it custom? also, i would supercharge the scorpion to make it more like the 037

not 225 on 9,5. Ive got 225 on 8,5 and the wheels are to wide for those. I guess he has 225 in front and 245 in the back. And you dont have an adjustable LS diff on a 2wd car.

change front light and grill with Delta Integrale twin rounded light et voilà Lancia 037. with rear light ferrari 308 rounded and 2 esternal mirror it's drem car. my friend have mount in a montercalo 1980 engine swapped from Lancia Thema 2000 Turbo 220hp and with only 900kg car fly on street....
