Thanks for checking out this video, hope you enjoyed it! And especially thanks to those of who came to the Premiere! Of course, I only run this channel as a hobby, and so there may be errors in accuracy or editing mistakes. I do try to avoid them, but it is difficult (especially on a project as big as this) to avoid them. Sorry!

Stratos is the only car in the history purposly Designed and Build for one purpose and one purpose only - TO DECIMATE EVERYTHING ON THE RALLY STAGES!!! 037 is the last car with rear wheel drive to win the WRC and the only car to ever defeat the Mighty Quattro! My friend thank you for this thoroughly researched and high-quality content that you provide to this platform. I have truly learned a lot watching your videos and they are really well-made. It shows your effort and passion for motorsport, particularly rally. If I may just make a brief constructive criticism: the archive videos that you show, which are a lot naturally, tend to have a very unstable framerate, like advancing and pausing for the briefest of moments while playing. I suspect this has something to do with the settings you use while rendering your edited videos. If you could check and correct that, your docs will be beyond perfect. Sorry if I'm overstepping. Hopefully it's taken lightly. Keep up the good quality my friend. Cheers!

Ah, the Delta. That was the family car at the time of my birth. Unfortunately the lack of AC in a hot summer country like Spain meant it wasn't ideal to keep, specially with a baby onboard. While my father doesn't regret selling it (it was much needed change), he really misses what a great car it was. This was a very nice documentary, do you have plans for making one for Citröen (AKA the Ford of Europe)?

Very good overall,some models and one-offs not included but you would need hours/or a series to cover everything.Would be nice to see more of the trucks,vans,buses ,military vehicles etc. Flavia based Jolly vans for example. The Stratos V6 was the Ferrari Dino 2.4 L not 2.6L as stated. And the real reason Lancia left rallying was Fiat could not afford both Alfa-Romeo and Lancia to be developed further and decided in favour of Alfa. R.I.P Lancia.

I had a Hot Wheels of it colored orange with a large blue "8" on the front, I didn't actually know what the car was called or that it even actually existed in real life, because it was stamped with the name " SUPER 8" underside the car. I had an idea for my own car company called Pegasus, which would make performance cars based on predecessors from many different manufacturers. One of the three flagship models, alongside the AE86-based Pegasus Levin and the "all in one chassis" Pegasus Striker (can be bought as a hatchback, wagon, or land rover style SUV, depending on trim), was the Pegasus Dextra, a 4-door twin-charged AWD hatchback based on the Delta Integrale Evo and Delta S4

Although a good effort, there are a lot of incorrect things being said. I won't list them all, but 1 big mistake is the reason why Lancia withdrew from rallying. The reason is that Lancia were so dominant in rallying and Ferrari in F1 were investing millions but still not winning (the last F1 championship was '79), so Fiat sent the Lancia racing division to Ferrari in F1. All the major players: Engineers (Lombardi ecc), meccanics, C. Florio all went to Ferrari F1 in a block. By the way in the rally scene, private teams won championships in front of the main competion for 1-2 years in wrc and more years in european and national championships.
@edak4823 жыл бұрын
In fact Lancia pulled out of the WRC at the end of 1992, so drivers Didier Auriol and Juha Kankkunen moved to Toyota. Carlos Sainz went from Toyota to drive the Lancia Delta, but that was not a factory team, it was a private team ( Grifone ) that ran the Delta Evo. And 1993 was a very poor year for Carlos. In 1992 Didier Auriol had a record (at that time) of winning 6 rally's in one season, but not the Championship.

Lancia didn’t win the first French Grand Prix for FIAT. A Renault won a Fiat was second. Lancia didn’t finish but set the fastest lap.
@jspoons6619 Жыл бұрын
That was very well put together considering the less than 40 minutes running time. Lancia's fate was sealed by Fiats bad managing The Beta and Gamma were disasters in the UK market and other north European climates and like their fellow Fiat and Alf models were plagued with server rusting issue alone with the standard poor electrics found in most Italian cars from that period the legend of that time was you could watch these Cars rust in front of you . there were product recalls the Beta Montecarlo original planed to succeed the Fiat X19 had a major braking issue. you could buy all these cars for stupidly cheap money 2nd hand because no wanted to buy them. I guess I regret not buying a Beta back then with its Super charged engine. now they are collector's items. Lancia had to give their D50 GP Cars over to Ferrari because of money issue's Ferrari needed a new GP cars to replace their failed GP car that year the D50 was simple rebadged and with Ferrari's GP Resources behind it went on to be very successful. Ferrari did not for get this in return suppling V6 engine's to Lancia for the Stratos. The Stratos was a huge shock to Motorsport and rallying to successful for those running other teams and at the FIA when Ferrari added a multi Valve head for the Dino V6 engine taking the output to around 300 + BHP the Governing body moved very quickly banning the 32 valve units sighting unfair advantage . Lancia with only allowed to continue with the 16 valve units of course the cars still won. There were other short coming literally the car was to short remember the wheel base of a Stratos is about the same as an an original Mini with near 300 hp and the weight of a shopping cart. the Lancia 0.37 my favarite Lancia 0.37 this time Lancia teamed up with Abarth this time also part of Fiat and Dellara racing cars. Lancia saw a slim chance to win the first year of the planned Group B rules because all their rivels had no real Group B cars nearing the end of development before 1984. Audi was the biggest threat but Lancia looked at the colander for the WRC in 1983 and saw that enough events suited a RWD drive car to make it worth the investment and the risk. while Audi were still trouble with issues with the big and heavy complex Quattro. They also were smart enough to sign Walter Röhrl not to win the championship because he no long was interested in doing so already been a multiple European champion and 2 times WRC winner. there also some famed under handed tactics like getting the Road gritted in the high Alps and having snow cleared by Italian snow ploughs to win first time out at the Monti. on the subject of those 200 cars for the entry requirements. it is also legend that they never built 200 roading going cars but they were not alone in that one. Röhrl almost won the WRC even if he was just rallying for the fun of it in the end Lancia only won the Constructors Championship Audi took the Drivers Crown and very quickly moved to secure Röhrl driving skills for 1984. The 0.37 win at any cost construction also led to a death of one of their drivers in 1984 in a now outclassed car but still fast of sealed surfaces in Corsica saw the loss of one of their leading drivers after hitting a tree and been killed instantly sadly one year later the same event would take the lives of Rallying most promising talent and the Co Driver too in the Crazy Delta S4 another car that pushed the rule beyond the weak implemented safety rules that had been put in place by the FIA at the time. Anyone who saw these two cars close up understands just how much they lack in safety compared to some of the then Group 4 cars or of the Audi's and Fords by modern standards death traps. I was luck enough to be at the debut of the Lancia Delta S4 on that Lombard RAC Rally in winter 1984 all the Group B cars were there the Lancia was by far the quickest car I had ever seen at that time and all this on Snow Ice and gravel and mud. it was never really the same at the follow years event after all the tragic events at the start of 1986 and knowing Group B was dead for 1987. Of course we were back for 1988 but it was not the same even though the Delta Integrale proved to be a monster in rallying until the midish 90's here I repeated the same mistake around about 2002 I passed on the chance to buy a Delta HF Integrale evo 1 the first year of the 16 Valve power unit with 210 bhp in street going form and the start of the wider wheel base and arches' 3000 pounds and a lefthand drive , not something a regret though , keeping the thing running would have cost to much anyhow. loved the video thanks.
