I’ve never seen your channel use braid for your mainline, is there a reason you always go with mono? Would you warn against using braided line for sharks from shore?

In this specific instance- we needed a decent topshot since we are fishing 600ft deep through rocks. Normally a short 30-50yrd topshot helps with stretch and abrasion resistance when fighting a shark. Straight braid on standup for sharks is not bueno- no stretch means danger in the harness if you have a giant on. Now casting for sharks with spin gear- or tuna fishing spin gear- straight braid to the leader 🤘

Also with the mono helps with the abrasion resistance when your line rubs on sandbars. Braid with get eaten up by sand and shells
