It's all BS. People just make up stuff. My mothers roots go back to the 1700's here and possibly farther. Us locals laugh at the way the Internet is trying so hard to grow this BS. It does get scary out there but it's mostly imaginary because of such isolation, darkness and unfamiliar sounds of nature.

Unfortunately or fortunately 😂, these are all dispersed sites down several forest roads, so they’re not labeled. However, there’s a ton among the area! Definitely worth exploring!

Just trying to let everyone know that LEO is now ticketing anyone more than a vehicle width off a road as per the MVUM. Pretty much all the waterfront campsights. If you dont walk your gear in and back out, $180.

Oh shoot! That’s a shame, but I was always picking up trash when I was there, so I get why they’d want to restrict people from the shores. There’s still plenty of awesome campsites though. I appreciate the heads up!

That place you went to is called hotel California by people who live around here, it was built by a river boat captain. can't remember what yr.

I remember hearing about it from a few locals that I chatted with from previous visits to that area, so we finally got to go check it out. Such a neat story behind it and I just love everything about LBL. What an absolutely incredible place!
