Join us for DAY 4 of a Illinois hunting land management project, as we take out the Bobcat T650 CTL skid steer and the Blue Diamond Severe duty brush cutter, as we make some new land clearings in some overgrown bushy areas on a great Southern Illinois hunting land property to improve the overall Wildlife habitat and marketability of this 53 acre parcel. Today I'll take out the new Bobcat T650 CTL Skid steer and the Blue Diamond Severe duty brush cutter and start a new land clearing project that is very thick, and overgrown to improve the strategic deer management and habitat for future land management success for this Illinois property owner and/or a new property owner (as this parcel is currently for sale). Join us for some fantastic drone video shots of the Bobcat T650 CTL Skid steer at work, (DJI phantom 4 pro drone) so you can get multiple close up and drone overview shots of the project at hand of clearing some of the major overgrown areas, and making a new clearing for a future food plot and food source to improve this Southern Illinois hunting land property. This is overall property management at its best, as well as wildlife conservation, Thanks for joining us, if you enjoy our content please hit the like button and share our content to help us grow our KZbin channel family! Thank you. Also consider subscribing to follow all of our Illinois and Kentucky land management projects, Food plots, waterfowl ponds and food plots, deer food plots, Bobcat T650 CTL skid steer projects, Bobcat e42 Mini Excavator projects, Branson tractor projects, DIY rustic home decor, Kentucky farmhouse rehab projects, DIY rustic barn wood projects, Excavation projects, DIY landscaping, and much more country living adventure! very good vid I ran a T650 with a Blue Diamond cutter for 4 years I still have the cutter but upgraded the bobcat to a T76 and it also works extremely well with the Blue Diamond, I was out for 6 hours today and tomorrow will be about 9 hours to finish the work! Its almost a real joy when you can cut brush as fast and still do a fantastic job with the right equipment!

You are absolutely right about the big channels you referred to. They are often just infomercials. You see a product once and never again. You do not get the scope of the work or use of equipment. Many use women as click and bait. Your channel shows what can be done and how to do it. Keep up the good work. By the way you can block those channels by hitting the 3 dots next to their name. One option is to stop seeing. Sometimes it takes 2 or 3 times to block them.

WoW! I didn't hear that mower bog down at all. Not once! Is that more the T650 or the mower? Or combo of both?
@kapperoutdoors
@kapperoutdoors 3 жыл бұрын
Both. The T650 is Hi flow, and they build the mower pump to match it with the hi flow machine that you have so it matches up the Gallons per minute so it all balances out nice. Thanks.

Hey Joe, I have crashed two DJI Phantom 3 advanced. Had to rebuild both from new frame and camera wiring harness. Takes a few hours but real easy if you don’t have insurance. Frames are less than 50.00 and camera harness less than 20.00. 😂

Not sure I'm that talented, and the whole camera gimble is broken. I can't buy another one now, but I do have my back up, it works but still has a couple of glitches I need to work on. Do they have kits or something for the rebuild? Thanks
@ShadyOaksFarm
@ShadyOaksFarm 4 жыл бұрын
Kapper Outdoors they do. I couldn’t tell for sure but that looks like a Phantom 4. Just do an assessment of damaged parts and see what is needed. You can buy gimbal parts also. Your frame did not look damaged! My last two crashes I damaged the frames so I had to buy new frames.

Hey Joe, question for ya. Any reason why you just can't drive through the brush with the skid steer then when you reach the end turn around? I realize some of the trees/brush are quite tall but you keep going forward, then backing up, then going forward, etc. Just curious. Thanks and be safe, Stanley in Md.
@kapperoutdoors
@kapperoutdoors 4 жыл бұрын
Good question! Yes, it is just too thick to do that. As you accumulate trees forward, they get sucked in to the cutter and slow it down. So you have to back out, to clear some of that. It also gives a 2nd cut on the way out. In Thin spots I will keep going forward. Thanks

@kapperoutdoors
@kapperoutdoors 10 ай бұрын
Yes it is absolutely a real risk that's why I used a forestry door on that thing full-time. I've had big and I mean big logs get flung up and whack right in the middle of that Plexi door. It's expensive but well worth the investment. Best of luck

How often do you need to sharpen the blades on that Blue Diamond?
@kapperoutdoors

Depends on how much harder stuff, hardwoods, that you get into. And of course if you nick a rock! But they are super tough, I've sharpened them a few times and can't believe how well they hold up.. Well, until I hit a big rock!!!

Darn, sorry about the drone crash. That doesn't make any sense because it should have just hovered if it lost signal (or RTH depending on the settings). Perhaps it was returning and clipped a branch? Although, it looked like it fell from higher than the height of those trees you were taking out.
@curtisrogerslandbroker

Father & Sons Fishing that’s what we thought , it didn’t make much sense. I was flying it about 75ft high over the cleared lane and the screen froze. I tried to find it by sight with no luck . Come to find out it had already crashed. Only thing i can think that happened , it lost all power from battery and went down.
@kapperoutdoors
@kapperoutdoors 4 жыл бұрын
you know I've never really run the batteries down too low, and then re charge. Maybe it just got too low and like you said came straight down! Wish I could get the video repaired on it, tried a paid service and they could not get it to play. But I still have the clips in case i can get someone to repair it.
@fatherandsonsfishing
@fatherandsonsfishing 4 жыл бұрын
I have definitely lived on the edge a little and run my batteries down pretty low. Once it reaches a critically low threshold, the drone just lands where it is. You can still control it if you have it within eyesight (by pushing up on the control to counteract the landing) but you have to be pretty aggressive with the controls and you don’t have much time to get it back near you. It’s a shame you don’t have the video (yet). I always tell myself, if I’m gonna crash it, I hope the camera is at least rolling to get the footage...

How many acres of young saplings do you think you can clear within a day?
@kapperoutdoors
@kapperoutdoors 2 жыл бұрын
Really hard to say. Depends on size of material and if you have to cut a 2nd time closer to the ground to reduce stobs. I'd say at least 1 to 2 acres, probably more for a full day.

Nothing against the landowners, but if it was my property, and I had trees that I wanted to save, I'd have been out there with bright orange surveyor's tape marking them for you ahead of time. That way, you wouldn't have to do on-the-spot ID. As I said, that's just what "I" would have done. Everyone does things differently, and that's fine.
