One of Chris's greatest talents (besides virtuoso mandolinist, excellent singer and collector of talent) is his ability to select songs to perform. He could easily have done Springsteen here, or something from Omaha's Buddy Miles, but this selection was perfect - and a beautiful song it is, and Madison's harmony vocal was beautiful.

I love that he does Elliott Smith songs. It’s a shame Elliott Smith was lost on a lot of southerns and real country lovers. I rarely do them but when I do I love covering Elliott Smith with my southern accent and his songs always get the most “who wrote that song?”
