i can tell you that palm springs is not! the only stocked Atlantic salmon fisheries in the world, where i live (in Tasmania) there are heaps of lakes that are stocked regularly with Atlantic salmon, i can tell you that because i have captured one that weighed over 14lb!.

One of the finest eating freshwater fish is the yellow perch. Here in the states (upstate NY) we catch them in drinking quality water by the bucket load in the 8-14 inch range. Our limit is 50 per guy and we only had one outing last year where we did not keep our limits. Fun to catch regardless of whether you can eat them or not but I would prefer to be able to eat them. Fish and chips anyone?

I am searching for a natural population of landlocked atlantic salmon in the UK. Maybe they don't exist in nature? I've a keen interest in creating viable habitat for them which does not include the typical farm pond.

great show like all the other fieldsports channel shows just one bad point any one fishing with any kind of lure, jig, dead bait please use a wire trace it only takes one pike then you end up leaving a lure in it to starve to death so please fieldsports channel when you make shows please advise people in the right way we want to protect our sport and you are a brilliant way of teaching both novice and advanced anglers/hunters in different techniques and fishing on tv is getting less and less and hunting is rarely shown you are the future for our entertainment sorry my first comment has a negative in it but as a fishery owner I would not like to see one of my pike die from this hope you read this thanks shamobreeder100

Shamobreeder100,,,,,As a fishery Owner then you would advise Carp anglers to use wire also,,,???,,,Ok here we go,,Pike Get caught on Boilies,,Pike get caught on corn,,Pike get caught on worm,,,blah blah blah.....oh yeaa forgot about Halibut pellets,,so do you have these rules on your water?? Thats if you have Pike???. To all Carp and Coarse anglers,,,even the match men,,,,WIRE HAS TO BE USED????. For your info also,,wire was used on the canal and river,,wolfram wire,,a Finesse hair like wire,,,the last spot where i fished,,i can tell you know in 20 odd years of fishing that closed off lock, i have never seen a pike, and trust me i have fished there a lot. If you listen to the show,,i do point out that if i fish a area with Pike i will use wire. Oh i almost forgot,,,i have atleast 8 pals that have had 20+ Pike whilst chub and barbel fishing on the rivers with Lob worms,,,,should we also point out to the river Anglers that target Barbel etc to use wire????

Aaron doesn't like boats! You could put him on a boat in a drydock and he would be leaning over the side. Luckily I do like boats - sea fishing coming soon... / Charlie
