Land of the Long White Cloud is a seven-part documentary web series that tells the stories of New Zealanders reflecting on their colonial heritage and white guilt, and the ways they push through to find a healthier Pākehā identity.
An anti-racism conversation timed to coincide with the 250-year anniversary of Captain Cook's arrival in Aotearoa. Racism is a white problem, and the onus is on white New Zealanders to look at ourselves.

Interestingly enough, it was my mother who pointed out she was also always served first. I never even thought about it until she brought it up and years later, here's someone else using the exact same thing happening in his presence as an example.

@@shoutatthesky Yes, you did. You pretended european culture wasn't forced on Maori by purposely leaving it out. It's hypocritical and as others have said, it's gaslighting. Anyone with half a brain knows it was forced onto people in this part of the world, yet you decry even being exposed to native culture in our own homeland.
