@@bestfriendsthesequel First recommendation -- switch to "first reaction" format (where you record yourself watching a movie for the first time, alongside the movie itself, particularly when surprising moments hit, and then edit the overall video to not overstep copyright limits). The "Review and Recap" format is less captivating because we all already saw the movie and know the plotline; it's more fun watching the face of the reactor at pivotal moments. You can then add "recap" at the end. Really good goofy/funny/outrageous/so-bad-it's-good movies, in priority order: 1. Team America, 2. Airplane, 3. Spaceballs, 4. History of the World, Part I, 5. Top Secret, 6. Galaxy Quest, 7. Battlefield Earth, 8. Better Off Dead. Opposite end of the spectrum: For the best show ever aired on TV of any genre -- go for the 2004 reboot of Battlestar Galactica (must watch the 2003 mini-series before watching season 1!!). This is not a comedy, not at all, but rather a serious SF drama. Expect to be shocked out of your seat a few times each episode. (BSG is currently streaming on Amazon Prime). If unsure, watch the 2 parts mini-series and then decide. Regarding prior-watching: Land of the Lost is actually a "reboot" of a 70's kids TV show (the original was not a comedy show, at least not intentionally). It is not necessary to see any episode of the original show to understand LOTL, but if you did (not a recommendation, the original show is really lame), you'd recognize some character names and Easter eggs. Likewise, Team America spoofs the kiddie 60's TV show Thunderbirds (and many others), Airplane spoofs 70's air disaster movies, Spaceballs spoofs Star Wars, Galaxy Quest spoofs Star Trek and the Trekkies culture, and BSG reboots a 70s TV show of the same name. Watching the source material (except for high-profile movies like Star Wars) is unnecessary to get substantially all the jokes in all these movies. In the case of BSG, the original is a mild spoiler of a few events (particularly in the min-series), so for best surprise power, better to not watch the original. Dan.

Yeah I've been thinking about doing reactions and I know they're more popular. Just the editing looks intimidating being still pretty new at this. Of the movies you suggested, I haven't seen History of the World, Top Secret, and Better Off Dead so I'll definitely check those out. I've seen the reboot of Battlestar Galactica and loved it.
