I think it’s really interesting what you’re doing here. As others have said, your voice over is terrific. I also think the four frames concept has a lot of merit... but in this case, I think I disagree with the frames chosen. Or rather, I think the four fail to address something important. As pieces of art, the four frames are excellent. They also represent four of the anime’s most interesting concepts. The loneliness of Cinnabar, the selflessness of Phos, the tragedy of Antarcticte, the bond between Dia and Bort. Those are four great and somewhat central concepts to the show, for sure. That said, I think you’ve left out the humor. A big part of Phos’ tragedy is going from its naive spunky happy self to its reserved knowledgeable sad self. I’m a little sad that isn’t also represented... somehow. It’s just, I feel the humor of the show is a huge part of its early draw. Is a review, even in this vastly compressed format complete without it? I’m not claiming additionally addressing the humor would be easy! Not with just four frames! But I do miss it.

thank you this might be my favourite comment i've ever got on a video. I think your right on about the humor and i'm glad you engaged with the video enough to want to leave such a thoughtful comment. Thank you :)

I’ve also struggled a lot with trying to set my reviews apart from others. I’m seems like you were able to find that originality in a video format in an interesting and engaging way. Nice work. Also, I think your voice over/narration skills are absolutely top notch and better than even most of the top ani tubers. Very rich vocals combined with excellent performance. Id love to help contribute to this series in some way, although I’m not sure exactly what I could do for it. But feel free to pm me anyways. I think you have me on Disc but my tag is Reala#0690

Really nice video. I dig the concept, though there is one thing I have to put out there. The fact that the 4 frames at the end aren't perfectly symmetrical is causing my OCD to freak out.... lol

I find it interesting how you have every Gem featured in the four panels to have their faces "obscured" in some way. As if eyes are so important that the fact none are showing highlights how important they are.

Absolutely brilliant idea for a video series, Yata! I particularly loved the music you chose for this. Also, loved the Evangelion script for the "Part 1 - Land of the Lustrous". I'm very interested to see why you chose the frames you chose! Will tune into the next video for sure. - Bcom
