Very helpful. Thanks for doing a very clear and thorough job, especially the bits about sorting the bolts and on filling using the heater hose outlet.

Thanks for the video. I've watched it twice now. I have just taken ownership of an 72 series 3 station wagon with the rover 6 cylinder and it looks like the process for changing the pump is the same. The water pump on mine is shot. I don't think it is pumping water at all. Anyway thanks for the video. I like the idea of putting the bolts in the new pump and transfer them to the old pump so you can put them back in the same place.

Very nice to see this - water pumps always seem to be challenging:) Happy holidays, and thanks for all the interesting videos!

Always a bugger changing water pumps without removing the radiator. Those radiators take the skin off really quick!! Any time i change a water pump while i am there i always change the thermostat too.

Indeed! I thought about changing the thermostat but it seems to work well and it certainly didn't look too shabby from what I could see of it. It may have been replaced when the engine was rebuilt. Phill.
