Don't listen to people who are saying not to buy Tesla and instead buy other brands. Just go for it. Model Y is is one of the best models of Tesla. Other brands right now don't have have extensive Hyper charging networks like Tesla.

Electric cars are best for purely city driving where the start stop nature of the traffic suits the battery management system. If you go on longer trips/highway then the constant speed without braking is where it takes toll on the range. Normal fuel cars (ICE) have a distinct edge over electric cars here. @@headhunter895 no it dosnt .I own 2 of them.Model X and S are the only tesla's that have 2 screens.And to Chatty and Scatty I know the wait time is super long but EV is the way to future given the gas prices. One thing no one mentioned is there resale value .You can sell 1 or 2 year old tesla for the same $ u buy it for because of the long wait time and demand. We have 2 model y in our family and its the best desicion we made in terms of what car to buy . 400 KMs for 12$ electricity vs 50$ gas . And if you buy from Quebec you get additional 8000$ off due to provintial rebate . Quality issues are there with all the cars .Tesla is always improving on these issues and both of our cars had no issues at all . If there is any issue they come to you and fix them at your home or work. You dont have to go to a dealership to get them fixed .

Would recommend going with a Hybrid SUV or crossover instead of Tesla or any other fully electric car. In harsh winters fully electric car will lose around 20 to 40% of its range. Also, Tesla are very bad with quality of thier cars eg: panel alignment/ gaps, plastic rattling noise, paint issues, droppy doors on 75000CAD car I cannot tolerate these sloppy quality control problems. If you can live with these issues you should buy a Tesla and enjoy it's plus points like tech and charging network.

Would be interesting if you would share your thoughts on range limitations since you also live in "cold climate" like us. We live ~5hrs northwest of Chicago and we cancelled our first day booking of 2 Model 3s when we learned the range can really take a nosedive during our winter. A co-worker who also lives in same town went ahead with his order of Model 3 and has confirmed the past couple winters that the range for his Model 3 goes down by ~40% especially during winter months. Granted the supercharger network is quite strong - however, it seems this might not be the best car for long family trips during cold / winter months - especially if it requires more frequent charging along the way. Appreciate any thoughts? Great video as always.
