I probably hate govt more than you but this is not wrong. Import duty is correct and the car manufacturers are not manufacturing in india. The govt is also helping ita own auto mobile giants like tata and mahindra but they are not refining the car market. They are still not producing feature packed car with quality finishing. Look uo subsidy that mahindra gets all this kills innovation. We dont even have a good staple car. There should be cars which are feature packed with a refined albeit low power engine. Indian manufacturers dont spend money on r&d. A staple car with basic color of blue ,black ,red and white should be in indian market but there is none. Not even a single one.
