A lot of the viewers would be in the age range of 24-30, who might not have owned any car till now. What should be the checklist for a person in mid to late 20s for buying their first car? Divide them into bucket of personalities vs income vs family size vs lifestyle (long travel plans or mostly weekend party scenes) to cover more broad variety of people. I think everyone would love this kind of detailed video. I know I would! ❤

This might sound odd-if you in this age group you should give it an year or two worth of savings and buy a car a higher segment that you are comfortable with(if first car) as these are peak growth years and you will be outgrow your salary in next few years and will be out again to shop. I bought a s-cross base variant when i was 25 and by 27 my salary after jumps went up by 40% and my was not good enough for me.

@@pathikkandhari Your strategy doesn't sound odd to me. Makes a lot of sense to wait it out if someone wants to upgrade the segment itself. I work in tech and salary goes up 20-30% every year. So, in 2 years time with a job switch you can 2x your salary with some hardwork which changes the entire equation of what you can own / like to own. Although, if someone wants to stay in entry level segment (

@@pathikkandhari Your peak growth years means - it is your time to grow financially and in terms of your career - not in terms of your lifestyle. Do not over leverage yourself and your salary and something you have (peace of mind) for something you dont need . Save up , invest prudently for a few years and get a much much higher car than these when you can very comfortably afford that . And sorry if i sound like a snob or car hater - this is coming from someone who has a BMW, a Mercedes and is going to buy their next BMW soon . No hate here , just gave my 2cents based on my little financial knowledge .

@@vishalvijayaregu2223 thanks for all gyan but we dont need more warikoos in life..and i am talking about car buyers who are buying their 1st or second car rather buying a i20 is that suits thr budget better to save another year and may be buy a next segment and about investing i think in this age you should be already investing and this car fund is seperate from it. Lastly this can only come from someone who has a BMW or MERC as they don’t understand what middle class means and what is the value of car for a mid 20’s person.its your peak years for life as well you travel make friends date and sorry you cant do all that on an auto or bus. Life is about balance investing is imp so is living the moment. No point of buying a BMW when you are 45,all i asked was don’t hurry into a decision on for car if you just started working wait 2 years understand your growth and then buy a car as between 23-28 you are open to change jobs have least responsibilities in most of cases so dont buy a car that you regret in 2 years

I have been following this series, I was however surprised to see jump from under 10 lacs directly to luxury range. I was actually hoping for the 15 lacs range cars. My suggestion for next video would be window shop 7 seater SUV cars, as there are a lot of new cars available around 20 lacs and people who cannot afford buying a new car would want to explore the used car market to see a perfect fit within their budget.

Regarding Jeep compass. Sometimes people just don't care too much about how much they are getting or they don't know what to price when listing. I have also seen some other listings and write approx price. Also when people are moving abroad they just want to sell everything

Could you guys create an excel sheet for the ideal price calculation based on the ex-showroom price of any car. Maybe we could add the year + owner + transmission + kms driven etc and then give a ball park price for a city. This would help a lot of us here including myself. Thanks for the wonderful video though! Looking forward to more. Maybe you could try with a class of car - SUV, Sedan, Hatchback etc.

It's very difficult to reregister a car from a different state into Maharashtra. Its a gray area, you can drive it around town, but the legalities are questionable. I've also heard that traffic cops do harass out of state registered cars.

While I agree with your logic of depreciation, you should also consider today's prices which has increased drastically plus the increased demand for used cars so you might need to add fees lakhs for luxury cars and 1-2 lks for 10-20 lk used cars to calculate today's fair price/value of these cars

But we can clearly see that the prices are way above this fair price/value especially in Bangalore 😉 So if you have decent knowledge of cars just skip buying from and selling yo Spinny as their margins are pretty steep with no negotiation of more than 5-10 k which makes absolutely no sense

Y'all are just applying some straight line depreciation and calling it a day. Imho, these calculations are only on paper and hard to apply to real life. There are market factors that drive up/down the prices of some manufacters. There's also supply demand factors to account for. End of the day, a car is worth what someone is willing to pay for it. If the car is in immaculate condition, no harm in paying what it's worth. Even if it doesn't agree with your mathematics.

5:18 sorry but all german cars have alot of rubber bushes and parts which age over time and have to be replaced. Its a 2018 car out of warranty not worth more than 25 lakh anyday it is 2 gen old car.i can give in writing this car was bought at 22-23 lakh from owner

It's possible that Land Rover prices were higher before they started manufacturing vehicles in India. The dealer might have used this previous, higher price as a reference point when listing the vehicle.

A180 has low ground clearance but its definitely a car you should choose if you are only a family of 2 and are looking for car which would be used extensively as mileage this car offers is great for the price. It offers mileage of 17-19kmpl. But rear seats leg room is deal breaker.

Hey, first of all that BMW 530i m sport is not from MUMBAI the ad is just placed for mumbai anyone can do that. The car is with fusion cars DELHI NCR based pre-owned dealer. And DD registration is because its just 3% there.
