Landau Tri Stereo Chorus Clean Tone w/ Neunaber Inspire and Boss PS-6

This is me playing a 1989 Fender American Standard Strat into a Blackstar HT-40. All chorus is with the Inspire and detune is with the PS-6. Just jamming to what I remember from those classic session clean parts, so I know some of them are not note for note.

Great job capturing Landau’s clean “Tales” sounds! Tried a friend’s rack last night, which had the Fulltone Tri Chorus, and a TC 2290! It was Landau 80’s tones heaven!

Very Impressive and on par with the Shiva LiL Wave Tri Chorus from Italy = Landau in a Box. I am a Chorus Fanatic and do Tons of Research on Chorus Pedals. This was Gorgeous though. That Sound @ 1:12 was my Definition of "LUSH" - I see you are using the Boss-DD-500. I love mine. Awesome job with this. Enjoyed listening to you play.

hey man. the sound is great, you nailed that 80 aor tone. are you playing in mono? I also have the ps6 for detune while for the delay I have the timefactor eventide but in the past I also had the boss dd500. i'm looking for a chorus that doesn't cost much. I will try with the arion. do you remember the titles of the songs you are playing? they are wonderful arpeggios. could you tell me the titles of the songs? a thousand thanks

For this sound specifically, you need to run in stereo. The Vertex/Arion chorus is cool, but honestly it's probably cheaper to get either this pedal, the Neunaber Inspire, or the Eventide Tricerachorus. Both of these have stereo outputs, as you would need to run those either into a true stereo Amp like a Roland JC, or into two separate mono amps.

Charles Hoernemann I'm using a Boss DD500 for delay on a Space Echo tape patch and a hall reverb from the TC Hall of Fame 2, both in the effects loop after the modulation. I also have a Keeley Compressor Plus in front of the amp.

Great playing! This is the only demo I found that shows the real 80´s sounds that the pedal is supposed to do. Really close to the rack unit IMHO.

The first thing I played is one of my songs, World Unfolds. Then I played some of Lobotomy Stew from Los Lobotomys with Steve Steve Lukather on guitar. After playing some of own stuff, I went into I Don't Care from Michael Landau and after that, some session he did for a Latin artist who's name I can't remember. The rest is just my noodling.

Hey I have the mix at about 10:00 and the most subtle of the 3 voice detune which give you one sharp and one flat signal. Hope that helps!

any volume loss with the PS-6 ? I used sometimes and I noticed a little loss in some frequencies ...

No volume loss. I back off the wet signal to about 10 o'clock, or else there is a volume boost. It's the best sounding detune I have found for the money. I didn't care for the DigiTech Luxe or some of the others I've tried or heard.

nesker yes that is correct. I also have a Keeley Compressor + in front of the amp.

@@dannybrymer6630 That is pivotal for that sound. A compressor makes a world of difference when trying to replicate the "recipe" for the 80's TSC thing. I love the sound man!

Alex Llorens I have. I like clean tri chorus better than dirty, but it does that "How Am I Supposed to Live Without You" sound really well. I like it with a little dirt with strat positions 2 and 4.
