Good video mate! The hook through the thumb would have tickled I'm sure! 2 small thoughts, are you using a head or chest mount for the gopro? Just found some of the footage we didn't see the full fish, just the top half 😛 also sound was a bit windy, ok once used to it, but did find it a bit hard to hear you initially... not a criticism (my first vids were not as clean as this) great job overall Cheers, Chris

Thanks Chris, yes using the head mount for this one. Need to be aware of that and tilt it down more or bring fish up more. I've ordered a foam cover for the go pro to help with the wind! Hopefully that solves that problem. Otherwise I am looking at a separate microphone solution. Always appreciate the feedback.

I was looking at getting the Rode Wireless GO II | Dual Wireless Mic System. I'll see how the foam cover goes first before jumping in for about $500... ;)

Well done Matt, i wouldn't worry about being shark bait! When was the last time a fisherman was taken whilst beach fishing???? Have you tried a floating cage for the fish instead of the bag? I've made one that i copied from a yellowfin whiting page and it works pretty well, i'm happy to send you some pics if you like.

@@MattsFishingEscapes expensive but a shark shield isn’t a bad idea. Even though it’s shallow it is so bloody eery fishing in knee deep water at thompsons

Southern end of the beach. Check out Google Maps. You can easily identify the spots with some reef on the shore.
