Nice catch Mick, planning to do the same around the CBD wharves, is 3/8 oz enough to cast the jerkshad or should we go 1/2 oz jig?

What’s everyone’s thoughts on what I just brought myself a 6000 shimano spheros with a Daiwa saltist 7”6 PE4-5 Running on the spheros 50+ pound grappler with a minimum of 1 meter of Oceana leader 30 pound

Try 1/4 size4 or 1/6 size 3 or 4 hook on 6 inch jerkshad zman white i seem to get kingies all the time with these setups were as jewies seem to like 3/8 or 1/2 kingies love the lighter jigheads fast action but give it a try dude it works for me hopefully it fors for u

Always used daiwa for a while now, but the maikuro teed up with the stradic done well on the rat king for sure, nothing wrong with it... also nice and light with the reel nothing to heavy in the hands

@@flickwithmick I'd say its good for its price, i had the older model 4-8kg aswell and they were great for their price. Im the opposite was always a shimano guy now getting into daiwa gear

For lures? I use a 7” foot rod myself 4-8kg, but you can go longer and heavier at your preference

Mick just a question on the line you use for the plastics do you use braid line or Flurocarbon? or is the leader braid and main line fluro. Never fished with braid before only mono so seeking some advice cheers bro

@@johnklansek8898 hey john! I use braid for main line and tie flurocarbon leader to the braid usually a rod length, and from leader i tie the jighead or any lure on 👌🏼

Tried a few techniques, but the twitch twitch pause got the bite, i would say it was mid water before i started retrieving
