As a fellow kitchen and bath remodeler who watches everyone of your videos I gotta say... you're awesome! You always add new info helping us complete our jobs that much easier and more efficiently. Only recommendation I would like to request is 1. If you will start using these new tools on a daily basis? and 2. if so how often? Then a follow up on how they have performed overtime. Thank you very much!

I have that cutter in my HD cart right now. Little expensive at $480 out the door with the unit, charger and two batteries. Where is a good place to pick up the track rail? I'll put a Tile Tool Tuesday video together.

@@LandbergTileTV its the same track rail that’s used for the plunge saw, but you need an adapter that fits to the cutter to make it compatible. Not gonna lie, its a ball ache getting it all set up and figured out. Literally everything is sold separately. I bought …. Makita unit Makita 1500mm track rail Makita track rail adapter Makita water feed unit Monolit 125mm dry cutting diamond blade A bush adapter for 125mm blade to fit. I had to figure all of this out because Makita doesn’t make it obvious. If you have a contact email you don’t mind posting, I can send a few pictures that I’ve taken

I need to cut a transition from kitchen/dining room to living room/hallway which is all laid with same tile. I need a smooth transition as I'm putting down vinyl snap lock tiles in kitchen/dining room and use a transition strip to separate living room/hallway which is ceramic tile.

Looks like a bit of trouble with dust on the thicker ones at the end but really, you put small foam in a small plastic tray on a counter top, it would trap the run off. Backsplashes are never big tile.

Tried and after two practice cuts and one final cut, all with same poor results (chipped corner) even after slow and steady pace, I'm returning this to Lowes. Have to say I can't recommend it at all. Still looking for a reasonable tile cutter for home use to handle large format tile.

@RawTakes

I think the only practical use for this is cutting 4ft tiles and fixture wall cuts around pipes if u don't use diamond bits. Still looks like it blows the corners out just enough to notice. So doing a point to point is necessary before blasting through it. Also that blade is shit so with the ones i use it may hold the tile together better. Im still gonna get one. Good review man.

It's a diy or maybe a tool for a handyman that does sporadic tile work repair and doesn't want to haul around other saws all the time. I guess the bonus to it is that you don't have an arm that would flex slightly or a table that doesn't track, but from his demonstration I don't think that blade gets wet enough that its going to last more than a backsplash worth of cuts.
@ProxyFinal
@ProxyFinal Жыл бұрын
Makita has a similar saw, but it has the option for you to attach to the vacuum for dry cutting.
@rotatingrecords
@rotatingrecords Жыл бұрын
@@ProxyFinal Milwaukee has the same thing with their 3" grinder, a cutting/saw track and vacuum attachment. Just no built in wet, thus far have had zero issues with just damp cutting the trace and dripping a sponge into the cut. Doesn't really make sense to be doing anything but plunges with something like this if you are an actual tiler - you already have better saws for the operation.

@@ProxyFinal with the right blades it ain’t bad, but it still is one of those rare what If moments where it’s nice to be able to pull this out for a cut or two and be done with it. Some jobs setting up a full size wet saw is just a hassle or not a feasible option. Besides 90% of your cuts can be made with an snap cutter anyways :)
