Loved doing the long landings in ground effect in an IS28-B2 and a hornet 206 was always a highlight of the day if you were lucky to get the final flights. Night time landing, if that was night then the camera did a very good job of capturing light.. Flew a Grob CS Astir in Dululu Queensland many years ago, at 10,000 feet got called by ground to say sun was setting and to get back pronto By the time I landed after getting down as safely as possible no one actually heard or saw me land was a different way to end the days flying, ah memories :)

Gee I would love to see some kind of OSD overlay showing the AS, VS, Heading etc like we get on models these days. Those two flights were bloody magic to watch Balleka.

Although i love the music on your videos this one goes really well without it. Amazing precision on the final moments of the flare and rollout!

Ah yes, the end of the day is just quiet in the sky, isn't it? I've yet to master the skill of running on the main wheel after landing, so am envious of those who have it.

Ok so not quite IFR. Perfect landing - fly the tail the whole way...

That landing roll was half as long as the flight. :-D What's up with all that turbulence crossing the airfield threshold?

What kind of regulations do you have regarding flight at night? IIRC for Germans VFR pilots (without night endorsement) it's sunrise to sunset if you don't have nav lights, SR-30min to SS+30 if you do. Not having ridge and wave lift makes life so much easier ;)
