Landing at the world's most dangerous airport: Paro in Bhutan (AMAZING Mount Everest views)

My mate (isn't always?) lives on a housing estate in the Himalayas. He has to get a mule, a car ride, followed by the first bus out, then another 6 taxis, then a flight just to be in work by 9....

Actually, I have been to both as well, and I feel that Six Senses offers better locations, design, facilities, and food (service was not at good as at the Amans though).

I found the landing in Santiago a bit unnerving since it's also quite a dip. One minute you're on top of the Andes, then suddenly down and landing! Ouch.

This is not a320 it was a a319 because Bhutan airlines only have a319 in its fleet.

Lukla Nepal is by far more dangerous. I've been in and out of there several times. As a pilot I can personally attest to the pucker factor.

I don't think Bhutan offers much hospitality from what I've heard. I heard their government charges you high dollar for the privilege of visiting.
