After a round trip to China and back to Anchorage, we were welcomed by the frozen runways at Anchorage.

Yep, I've done that a few dozen times. As soon as the parking check is done I start thinking about eating fresh Halibut and a cold beer.

Hi Steve I do not believe that the B747s will be gone that soon, as these aircraft are mainly in the cargo world with sobre exceptions, mainly in Asia and in Europe. These aircraft are the modern-day equivalent of the venerable and historic DC-3, which, by the way it is still flying around in lots of parts of the world, including the United States of America. Not bad for an octogenarian bird. The other one would be the historic B-52, which still has at least 20 more years of life left . Thank you for watching my videos. I am glad that you are envying them.

Love watching these clips. I'm often one of the skiers you're flying over as you land.

As a travel and passenger it’s cool to see it from this angle.

Hello It's James, As a passenger of a bigger comercial aircraft, you only have a partial view of what's going on in front of you. Some airlines for instance Emirates, they have a camera on top of the tail and another one on the nose of the aircraft, so when they are on the landing phase, you can watch the action on your inflight entertainment screen in front of you, and through the side windows. Obviously, not every airline offers this kind of service. I am glad that my videos have given you the opportunity to observe, what we see out from our windows located at the front of the aircraft. Thank you for watching my videos.

Well Captain, you flew her right on down. Imagine having the guts and confidence to land a few hundred tons on ice. Respect going out to ya!

Hahaha you are too kind, all of us in this commercial aviation business, have to be able to land and then take off from all these places, some easy and some not so easy. Nontheless, we all have to be able to do just that. Thank you MOG, for watching my videos.

Seemed a little bit unstable on final, a little to the left of the runway. I presume it was due to the crosswind. Great landing though and thank you for sharing.

Hello Cmte Falcão, actually we were in the center of the runway. However, depending on the angle of the camera and the distance from the center of the windshields, you will see the centerline to the left, right, or very close to the center. That's an optical illusion due to the fact that the B747 is so wide. Thank you for watching my videos.

That was rough enough, but we also had spoilers and autobrakes working in unison with our thrust reversers. Life is a lot easier with the correct equipment. Thank you for watching and commenting.
