Seletar is one of our more challenging destinations. It is bounded in very close proximety on 3 sides by restricted/noise sensitive areas and to the north by a waterway that is frequented by ships with high masts
Both runways have no instrument approaches which, in itself isn't so much of an issue, in a tropical, hot and wet environment can be particularly challenging with tropic rainfall making visual approaches difficult
Our approach today has us being radar vectored over Malaysia basically until crossing the water on final. I find the scenery very picturesque. Just before our arrival the ATIS was showing wet runway with good braking action. The runway is about 6,500 feet, which is plenty for us to land, but I chose to fly a little lower than normal on approach to take advantage of as much of the runway as I could
