iNSANEcOOkieMONstEr, I am in the left seat for this leg, doing the flying. Mike and I swap legs and roles on each trip. I’m not sure about the drum track. Like you, I feel like it’s the drummer from Rush. But, I use music from a program I have that lets me “shape” it in different ways. I can set tempo, length, instrumentation, etc. The software is called Smart Sound.

Awesome flying skills my friend, did a better job than i did, my approach was maybe a little bit too high & carried a bit more speed than i would have liked, but there again i have only done this landing a few times. Hats off to you for your skill. Happy flying & safe landings : ) PS: Toncontin is my all time favourite "dangerous" airport.

The aircraft is a GIV-SP. It's a fairly common large corporate jet. I've been flying into Tegucigalpa for 13 years, so I'm use to the warnings. The approach is so out of the norm that it sets off all the bells and whistles. The History Channel did a series on the 10 most extreme airports and this one was deemed #2, as in the second most extreme airport to land at in the world. You really can't tell from my video, but it is a pretty radical approach down into that hole (valley). Thanks.

Seriously, the Gulfstream gives you callouts for runway remaining? That is cool. Good job on the approach, I am surprised your approach speeds are that high on short final, I thought the Gulfstream would have lower speeds, tankering fuel?

Brett, not tankering fuel, but always have near max payload. We fill every seat (13) and have much cargo on these mission trips down there. That plus the higher elevation creates the higher ref speeds. Fly safe my friend . . .

The Easy Cajun 737-400, most of which are non-efis. Hopefully one day I can start logging NG if we manage to convince management to spend the dollars for some. The Aspen video is another quality display of professionalism. Very relaxed, stabilized and not rushed! I haven't had the luxury of making it into Aspen yet, I always missed those trips on my rotations by chance. Thanks for the posts again.

Well it is not really a challenge anymore as it was back in the 80's, they cleaned up the hills pretty good, however not for rookie pilots, that's for sure great video though, I really like it.
