I prefer the landing sequence in "Strategic Air Command" (1955) , rather than CGI cartoons

Some people are really into this sort of thing. If you aren't, that's ok. Just keep scrolling. No need to leave a childish comment.

The 6th Bomb Wing was a B-36 heavy bomber wing based at Walker AFB near Roswell New Mexico. When the B-36 was phased out in the late 1950's, almost the entire fleet was flown to Davis-Monthan AFB near Tucson Arizona.

I don’t think anyone really cares if correct terminology is used. Nice video thanks for posting.

And, or by the way, there is no Roswell approach. He might mean Roswell tower. I think that Roswell is controlled by Albuquerque Approach, possibly El Paso.
@FlightSimDude13 күн бұрын
This dialogue came from FSX, but I looked up the Roswell airport info on airnav.com. Roswell approach 119.6 east and 229.4 west. Roswell altimeter 3017.

Approaching at 3500 feet? That means that the aircraft is alreacy 117 feet undergound as the altitude at Roswell is about 3600 feet.

You are right, the front gear wasn't supposed to touch first. I had a really tuff time with this one, This landing was the best out of 4 attempts. The airspeed was too hot on final. The other 3 were too slow and I stalled her out. I will be posting another B-36 landing sometime this year. Thanks for watching.

@@roofieandraggy16 LOL. Between my FSX Piloting skills and the aircraft model I sometimes have less than perfect landings. I usually do pretty well but this one was one of the hard ones. LOL, There are a couple of more you will see if you get around to watching the rest of my videos. Thanks for watching all the way to the end of the video.

If you are going to do this, at least learn the correct terminology. In the U. S. Flight Levels are not used below 18,000 feet (FL180). In other countries Flight Levels may be lower. 9000 feet = FL 90. Not FL 9000. FL 900 = 90,000 feet.
@FlightSimDude3 жыл бұрын
The ATC / Pilot dialog came from FSX. By the way, it is not the same everywhere. Also 9000 feet = Flight Level niner thousand not nine thousand. None of the planes in FSX go to 90,000 feet and if they did it would be niner zero thousand.
