Pro Mario tip, when you have someone like Bowser Jr recovering low and using the stage to protect their recovery, go off stage facing inward with the F-air so the hit box covers under the stage. You are right about forcing the low recovery as a good strategy. When edge guarding, the more you can prevent your opponent from returning to neutral, the better. A successful high recovery immediately results in a return to neutral. Low recovery results in grabbing the ledge; one more disadvantage state before a full recovery to neutral. Tips for World of light nuzlocke without spirits: Use your worst characters first as if you lose them it's ok. You need your good characters for the late game where the battles get really tough so make sure you save them! Make sure you try and unlock as many characters as possible as the more characters you have the least likely you'll lose. You might have to cheese a lot of battles especially the further in you get, so don't be ashamed of trying to cheese as sometimes you have to do it. (Just don't do it a lot as it might be bad content) Don't fight any unnecessary battles as you might end up getting killed. Also don't try and win hard battles for a chest as chests aren't that worth it. As you go on you'll learn cpu habits so try and pick up on them and abuse them. Like how a cpu would never go too far offstage to the point where they won't recover and that they almost always tech.

Lucina fact: short hopping into the first hit of side special does wonders. You can do a falling up air without having to wait so long for you to be able to fastfall, you can get some extra damage, and maybe land a falling nair on them. (not true though) Really, air side special into up air just makes it really easy to do combos, especially with up air being so good.
