Hey @3:30 what he is talking about I also struggled with it. A little trick that helped me was point the VOR needle to the runway heading. This will help clean up the turns. Set the heading bug to the wind direction reported in the ATIS. When you are getting ready to turn downwind to base pick a prominent feature in the cabin like a screw that will help you determine when the RWY is 45° off of the wing. Lmk now if it helps! Great video Lew!

Crosswind landings are tough, and since nature rarely cooperates, most landings will have some crosswind component. I’ll never forget how good it felt the first time I nailed a crosswind landing, especially the first one that I nailed solo with no CFI. Don’t worry Reggie, eventually it becomes instinct and your hands and feet work together without you having to think much about it.

Back during my PPL training, I didn’t have any problems with landing; my main issue was steep turns.

I had the same problem until I realized that if you make sure your rudder input is correct - then the airplane's longitudinal axis with be aligned with the center line, and it's much easier to see what aileron correction is required. This guy is trying to get it all correct at the same time, so he's sideways for the most of it, and it really messes with your brain.

i like that he is having fun.. but i think he needs more seriousness, to learn betterer i notice that he keeps trying to use ailerons to correct his position on the runway... more rudder man.. MORE RUDDER.
