Meh. I disagree that this show is highly entertaining. The female characters are written with major flaws. Kind of tanks the show. It is a soap opera instead of a drama about oil drilling. I hope it ends so I’m not tempted to hate watch next season.

I don't think Monty died, I think the phone call from Kami just informed Tommy that Monty probably had another heart attack and he was in a coma. It's too soon for Monty's character to be killed off in my opinion - although the symbolism of the coyote and the socked feet were thought provoking. Great show, wife and I really enjoy it. There'll be a season two due to the major interest in this series.

In the description of Ep. 9 they call it a "health scare", so I agree with you, too soon to kill off the character. And Cami is an active role in the description for Ep. 10, so I don't think it's as simple and Cami and Monty go off on a vacation to relax and recover.

Just a thought. Daughter gets abducted in episode 10. Cliff hanger is that the cell phone has GPS to find her. They put in a lot of time two episodes ago in the fact that she had a tracker in her phone.

I doubt Monty is dead but I do find it hilarious Demi Moore is featured in so much of the pre series advertising and giving the audience the impression she is a major part of show. Last couple of episodes we've seen a little more of her. Reason I'm saying this, I expect she's going to be taking a much larger role in the coming episodes / season 2.

Demi Moore will be more involved in S2. She’s now a Golden Globe Winner, you can’t not use an actress like that if you have her in a show like this. My theory is that Cami will eventually take over the company and rule it alongside Tommy but also be Switzerland with both Tommy and Rebecca, who seems to be going to be a villain moving forward.

After the lecture from Jerry Jones and Cooper making strides in the oil business, that seems like where the story is headed. I also think Nate will go with them, he seemed to have a lot of respect for Cooper after the settlement negotiation and he admitted he didn't have anything to do at Monty's company since Rebeca was made VP.

I think a lot has to do what is going on in her real life. Her family is dealing with Bruce Willis's illness. As a mother, she wants to be with her daughters during this difficult time of their lives.

This episode had me getting choked up in the first 15 minutes with Jerry’s pep talk. 💦 I’m so happy Ariana and Cooper got together, I know a lot of people hate them but I’m so happy (although the season isn’t over yet, anything could happen). And yeah, Ainsley and Angela were annoying. It seemed like they were having an arc especially after Ainsley’s date with Ryder but the whole hooking up in her room with the parents home was gross!

I understand that the show gave hints that she wasn't truly happen with him, but to move on with another man in his home is so disrespectful and disgusting. I mean it’s a tv show - if a relationship happened like this in real life it would takes months at least it to develop, but Taylor Sheridan chose to set it a single month which is my criticism of the writing and not the characters. Her husband died, she buried him and he’s gone. Cooper fought to get a settlement that her husband would have wanted her to have. And she said herself a man’s current wealth or status doesn’t matter to her, that’s why she was okay with “a 22-year-old worm on the workover crew” and not some rich banker or something like that, that’s the opposite of “conditional love”.

Yeah, her husband gets killed and days later she's ready to hook up with a new dude. This is more of Sheridan's fantasies being put on screen. We get it's a TV Show, but the timeline being proposed here makes no sense. The only way it makes sense is if she's a cold hearted b who never loved the man in the first place. It's not like she was dating the guy for 2 weeks, they had a child together. Also, why even bring up money? That woman is now rich of the settlement she doesn't give 2 shits about money.

I loved the Mexican wolf at the end. Lobos wolves used to frequent the Wolfcamp Shale area. The last Mexican wolf in Texas was killed in 1970. So I have to assume it was a ghost.
