This stadium is a pure football ground. I love it, non of the bells and whistles of the Emirates Stadium or Wembley Stadium. Just a great place to watch football, simplicity. Everton Football Club have reminded everyone in the Football League, & those watching football, is about atmosphere, being close to the pitch & four tiers packed with fans. Stanley & Josh Kroenke could learn a lot about values & ideals, not improving "fan experience & corporate bars, with Digital Screens". Thank you, Everton Football Club!

In Greece, where I live, I went with my team AEK Athens for the first time to a field with grass in 1976 (at the old Karaiskakis stadium of Olympiakos). I remember that day it was raining and as soon as we entered the stadium I got a nice smell of natural grass. In the following years I never smelled such smells again. Because unfortunately the grass is 50-60% plastic. Football is changing and soon it will be played on plastic.

The players tunnel looks unnecessarily narrow. Given the amount of time it's shown on TV before & after matches, I'm struggling to understand why it wouldn't have been made a bit wider/grander. Like a hallway in a house, a couple of metres makes a massive difference.

Every time I see this stadium, it amazes me how you could build something so painfully dull. It’s not exactly cheap but very much looks it. You know what it actually looks like? The inside of one of those awful generic stadiums in Football Manager. I mean how on earth have we got to 2024 and someone has looked at those designs and thought ‘yeah, yeah! that’s the one!!’ It’s embarrassing 😥
