What a pleasant surprise to see Jen running the show.

For the space next to Elton and Costume put the word "Rocketman" since the movie "Rocketman" movie was about Elton John and there were many different costumes in the movie.

AC/DC (or as we Aussie say ACCA/DACCA) is the best Aussie band of all time. Keep listening to this band.

In your discussion about "cheese" as a clue, the rulebook states the following "The Party discusses which space they think the clue word belongs in (without giving suggestions for future clues, of course)". Unless this was revised in the final rulebook.

probably i'm just a dummy and missed that line! :)

For the space between Guitar and Sword put the word "Slash"". You slash with a sword (and maybe also an axe) and Slash (real name Saul Hudson) is the legendary guitarist from the band Guns N''Roses.

that's brilliant!

The map itself could be a clue. If you want someone to move from an inland hex to the shore you could use "beach". If you used "coast" they could think of something just rolling along the way it had already come and choose a space in a straight line with the hexes just filled in.

nope, from the rulebook: "Clues must relate to the meanings of the words. Don’t give clues based on rhymes, number of letters, position of existing words, features of the board, or the direction you want the players to go."

Would Margareth be a legal word to place next to thatched? Or are names not allowed?
@rahdo6 ай бұрын
yup that would be legal :)

@@rahdo hehe I placed the comment before I finished watching the video 🙈 I have to say I almost didn’t watch this playthrough because it didn’t really appeal to me, until you were talking about it in the R&R show, and you’re right! This video was hilarious to watch 🤣 Definitely going to buy this, even though I normally don’t buy games that cannot be played solo. But for 24,- I think it’ll be more than worth it. It looks so much fun!

To lead him to the hex between Sword, Axe and guitar: "sag". Legal?
@rahdo3 ай бұрын
nope, that would be against the rules as written :)

What a great runthrough! I really enjoyed it. I literally watched this excited from start to finish. Seems like a must have for me :) I wonder, any reasons this couldn’t be played in another language? Seems to me that other than the initial words (that can be easily translated) nothing here really requires English. Unless some starting words are multi-meaning (like Sharp..) and do not translate well? Thoughts?

i think would work great. you just need those 3 random words to start off with. i imagine there's some sort of thought that goes into the starter words, but i don't know what it is. maybe the publisher/designers would give some advice for how to choose good ones?
