I love Lando winning, he’s a great guy. However very few people on here see the heartache, the struggle for thousands of kids including my son who is super talented (data and lap times prove this), in karting that just don’t have the millions to get him anywhere in professional motorsport.

If he's as good as you say he is then he needs to put up a loan to get himself into the lower Formulas. You need to be in the Formulas in order to get noticed. No one cares about karters. Niki Lauda put up a £30,000 bank loan (worth around £365,153 in today's money) to get himself into Formula 2. Though I recommend him trying a track day in a Formula car to see if he can actually handle the machinery. A Formula car is a totally different animal to tame than a go-kart. Many people have been great in the karts but are absolutely useless once they go up the ladder.

@@Fireglo a loan?. For how much? Do you know how much just a test weekend is for F4, how much a season is for F4? Not sure a bank would give me a loan for the cost of a season. Not sure I could afford monthly payments on a loan.Its in the hundreds of thousands.

He's a nice lad and a good racer, no doubt champion material, but he's won one race after quite a long time in the sport and the english need to calm down, remember Emma Raducanu?? No me neither. After her first win she was the greatest thing ever to pick up a tennis racket, the same with every football competition, be it the world cup or euros, they have it won before it begins. That superiority complex is terribly misplaced
