Knowing that the performance is given by someone who understands what masculinity and femininity are in respect to each other makes this song become more enjoyable. Always hated this song but watching someone AFAB perform it as a drag king puts it through a lense I quite enjoy.

If this king is a cis woman, then yea I guess it wouldn’t be that different? But the point is drag king is a male character. Butch women aren’t connected to a male identity or character.
