Frets are scratchy, easily fixed though, and apart from that they are really good. I had no problems with the tuners, they hold tune. The bridge is PHJ (Pisspoor Hunk of Junk) and was swapped out. I even drilled the body and made mine string-through. Nut is also garbage and can be easily changed for a graphtech or similar, assuming you have access to sandpaper and more than 3 neurons. This is a great guitar for practicing guitar tech stuff. I even took the string-trees off, filled the holes and made my own Reverend type 3 string tree. Looks cool and works.

Love mine. Steel wool over the fingerboard and oil afterwards takes care of a good bit of the scratchiness. Didn't change anything other than the strings. I put 10 gauge acoustic strings on it. Weird , I know , but they work . Gives it a bit of a flatwound tone and they stay in tune real well. Run it straight through a Fishman Loudbox Mini. Great tone. Played a gig with it earlier this evening. You can definitely tell it's cheap when you play it but it really is a good guitar.

So one day I realized I had a spare 2018ish Duo-Sonic 24" scale neck lying around, and also a set of Player series Tele HH electronics, so I put it all together on one of these Bullet Mustangs, and it turned out pretty damn great! I did have body thickness issues; I had to dremel all the way to the paint in order to fit the full size pots and switches from the tele, and I had to dremel the pickguard to fit the pickups and make a slot for the tele 3 way switch. Later, I needed the Duo-Sonic neck, so I ended up putting the original mustang neck on it and rounded the board, polished and rounded the frets, and conditioned (well attempted to) the board and it actually plays really nice now. Sounds really good too.
