The Spots are supposed to immitate eyes for Other Predators in the wild savanah so it kinda looks like they got eyes in the back and always know whats going on. Same thing with a tigers ear.

Spots on the ears are a deterrent to predators when the cats backs are turned. Like the white spots on a tigers ears, they give the illusion of 'eyes on the back of your head' and any hunting predator will think twice about jumping onto a catch they think is looking at them.

The fact that many don't make it proves it's largely ineffective. If that's a reason. Their small size makes them vulnerable. Predators see that and not the back of their ears. They don't even look like eyes.🙂

Most big cats have these spots on their ears, it helps the cubs especially because you cant sneak up on something that knows that you're there so they act like a natural deterrent to predators

This just so cute in one way. but in the other way. it's quite terrifying. imagine the situation you getting chased by a lion and a jaguar. you go to the water because you think these guys wouldn't be able to swim (because you think it's a cat it's just wild and stuff) but then you see those two swimming towards you. and you just remember that this guy is the one who teached them how to swim 😅
