She always thought he would be there when she needed him and never respected Landry as a man. She liked Rigs because he didn’t put her on a pedestal and other girls wanted him too. No matter how hot they are guys, if they don’t respect you as a man it won’t last.

This is the couple that I wanted to be endgame so much the fact that He/ Landry saw the best in Her/Tyra and brought the best out of her and vice versa why were they not even mentioned together in the last season at all when they were in the last episode I'll never understand

This relationship would have been very great, but there were some major problems with surrounding this couple that should have been addressed. I have to say it's so heartbreaking seeing Landry trying everything he has to get Tyra to commit to him and he just fails every time. The most notable movements for me was when they arrived at school and we learn they broke up, the other scene was when she rejected Landry again for Cash the Cowboy. The development with this new "power" couple two was so cringe-worthy seeing her struggle when she called Tami for help, disgraceful. Tyra's issues begin with living with her easy-going mother in a trailer, exotic dancer sister and no father figure in the picture. I remember her being nervous about actually dating Landry as she asked her mother and Tami for their advice, this speaks volumes for her character in my opinion. She's the slutty, loose, popular girl stereotype that is not living up to her full potential because of self-esteem issues and no support network. She wants to do better for herself once she is pushed by someone who believes in her and has high expectation for her, and not accepting bare minimum effort. She is very beautiful and with beauty comes options. They say never pursue a relationship with 9s, 10s, or 11s in the women attractive scale for men, I'm not one who like to see conformity and dogmatic limitations, even if you ignore the rule of thumb Landry should have enough common sense to know the only reason Tyra likes him is because he follows her around like a puppy and is that shoulder to cry on friend. She doesn't have romantic feelings for him, the only reason they hooked up was because he saved her life which doesn't count because isn't that some sort of Stockholm Syndrome like for people that develop feeling for their rescuers? She completely blows him off when he talks to her and his only way into her life is to tutor her. She wants to get the hell out of Dillion so she doesn't end up with her mother and sister. She also prioritizes things like vanity over everything else, this is why she got played by that business guy in Season One and Cowboy Cash, to be fair she played herself in that situation. Landry doesn't have the confidence or self-esteem to stop pining over a girl who ultimately will do whatever it takes to achieve her goals. I get why he's fixated on dating her she's very unique with her attitude, is tall, has a nice body and pretty face. However, when does the self-respect alarms go off? When do you call it quits and move on to somebody else, preferably a girl that actually claims you in public, enjoys your company, wants to be involved in your life, is supportive, etc? She goes after guys like Riggins because it's easy the relationship revolves around screwing and that's about it.. This guy can't catch a break she dumps that other girl who did like him and got rejected by two other girls he liked. Tyra's determination with going to college paired with her self growth was great, but she really needed a dating coach and therapy because her choices in men were pretty bad.

Landry could not win at all in this series. No wonder he changed his name, moved to NM, and became one of the scariest killers ever (and before someone chimes in with, "that's not what happens! I know already)

The whole killing her assailant storyline seems so out of left field for this series. I would’ve liked the realism of Landry going to his father, who was a cop, and the process of reporting an assault like that. Maybe it could’ve helped girls who have gone through something like that to know that the process isn’t so scary and maybe justice would prevail.

Landry & Jess were Quirky, It was all based around Landry Knocking into Jess's Bike, Jess saw him more as someone to Make Vince Jealous or to Use like when she used him as a "Ride" to take her & her Friends to a Party.
