Landscape Photography Doesn't get BETTER Then This! OM System OM-1

Landscape photography sometimes feels like a giant jigsaw puzzle, and just rarely all the pieces fall on the exact right place. This was such a rare occasion where everything seemed to come together in one day.
And this was only the first full day of my trip to Sweden! that's going to be hard to beat during the rest of the week!

I'm happy my friend took the drone. The video material was from him during this first day. I managed to fix my own drone later during the week. But I agree the material is excellent! All he images were amazing. Like you said, it looks like a selected colour, but this was how it was. I didn't turn anything black and white or select only red. This happened multiple times during the trip, such an amazing spot. I could have spent weeks more there and not get bored 😅 thanks for watching. Grt guido

Dude, you make me want to book a flight right away and visit Sweden 😂 thanks for sharing this incredible experience. The snow just looks so pure and that “holy ****” when you sank made me lol. The trees with all that white reminds me of The Shining 😂 glad you also brought the drone, those were so stunning at the start, but update it next time. Hope you’re able to get more in the next days.

I had so many of these snow accidents during the week... the next, they I sunk in until my shoulders. Reminded me not to take any risks. You never know what is underneath the snow. Hi Guido and welcome to Sweden..or at least the Härjedalen part of Sweden. Some very nice pictures you made there! Shame about the drone, but just like making sure your camera batteries are all charged the evening before a shoot you must prepare your drone in plenty of time before 😊 It is always fascinating how a photographer from another place comes to a location and with fresh eyes finds subjects and compositions that the natives would miss OR pass on since you are so used to your surroundings.... Looking forward to watching the coming videos!

You're absolutely right about the drone. At the time, I blamed the drone, but of course, it was my own mistake. The next day, I updated it so there will be more drone material in this series. You have a beautiful country much more nature than the netherlands could entertain myself for weeks there 😅 I recorded one video a day, so hopefully, it will keep everyone entertained for a while 🙂 and it will show that this is a stubbibg part of sweden! Hello Guido Great winter conditions with snow. We see that a telephoto lens is the right choice in those conditions. You can spot the right compositions without moving. Because with so much snow you can´t move as you want :-). Grt Ernesto

It's indeed a very bleak winter landscape. The other days ( following videos ), you will see that sometimes it was a struggle, but in the end, I managed to find stunning shots every day i was there. Haha, yeah, that was only until my ass. The next day, I thought I could walk a little of the road to take a shot and sunk away until my shoulders. Unfortunately (or luckely), i didn't record that on video. Reminded me that walking was not the best idea and could be dangerous, not knowing what underneath all that snow. Stunning winter shots. Loved the panos of the island in the lake. Can’t help but wonder what it would look like in the summer. Maybe a return visit is needed with a kayak to visit all those lovely little shacks. Looking forward to seeing the photos of the week to come. 🙂🙂

I've heard that the lake was very low water so in summer you can walk to the island. But I'm not sure if the summer is interesting or even autumn. All those trees are the same colours because they are all pine trees. But who knows? I might do another visit some day 🙂 thabks for watchibg grt guido

I am sure you caught some beautiful streams/creeks, rising radiant fog and reflections. Don't keep them to yourself. Glad you are still perfecting your OM-1...before hopping off to "Take 2" 😉

Whaha well you would think that I photographed streams / creeks, reflections etc but that wasn't the case. I found some later during the trip but all rivers and lakes were frozen solid with about 1m snow on them. In the week before my arrival temperatures varied between -30 and -40 Celsius. So there wasn't much moving or open water around. But enough other epic moments captured but you will see it over the coming weeks. Thanks for watching. Grt guido

thanks you very much :) In this video none of the images were high res. Mostly because of the snowfall. when the camera stacks those images the snow blurs the image sometime. So I only use it when there is no wind and no rain. Lots of high res images coming in videos from the rest of the trip. Thanks for watching. Grt guido
