I respect what you are doing for us Logan, I know that filming all this treking makes the trip at least 3x more difficult where you re-walk back and forth to film B-roll clips. Well put together and incredible photographs

There’s a literary and documentary arc to all of your videos. FilmTube can seem like a crowded space when we consider the number of photographers that bring us along, but don’t do much aside from explaining compositions. Those videos feel like surveillance or Skillshare classes. Your videos bring viewers into the a more mindful process. Sometimes, it’s about feeling untethered from a location or even why you didn’t make a video that leaves us food for thought. Good shit as always here.

good stuff. Big fan of the RZ images. There is something about this system and lenses that is just unique imo. I wouldn't mind a 100% crop on some of the images with a ken burns on it to really showcase the power of medium format negatives. Also, What camera and lens are you using for filming? its so crisp and yum
@loganguybaker
@loganguybaker 2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! The RZ is simply the best. In the video before this, I cropped in super far with the white buffalo shots and it was pretty startling how clear the image was. Medium format is the best! For the video I used the BMPCC6K - I have a few BTS stuff on Patreon regarding the video shots if you want to know more!

I have something of a love-hate relationship with Logan's videos. This one is perfect illustration. The positives: The video is beautifully shot and edited. The B-roll is some of the best on YT. They are a pleasure to watch, and might suggest some locations you might want to personally visit, to photography or otherwise. The negatives: Contrary to the title, It has nothing which would help a budding photographer learn anything about shooting at golden hour, not in Colorado, not anywhere else. There is absolutely nothing in the video which indicates any benefits or detriments of using a Pentax 67 for this, or any other purpose. He might as well have shot his images with any camera, and in fact he used at least four materially different cameras during the course of the video. There is no discussion of the differences between those cameras, or why one might be better suited for the purpose than another. Overall, this makes the title just click-bait of the lowest form. None of this detracts from the quality of the video, but the title might be more accurately be something like "My picture taking hikes through the Rockies."
@alvinperez372
@alvinperez372 2 жыл бұрын
He never stated that it is a tutorial though. It isn’t titled “How to shoot during golden hour in Colorado with the Pentax 67”. It just states “Shooting Golden Hour in Colorado with the Pentax 67”. And that’s what he did and included in the video. It is the opposite of a clickbait. He did exactly what he said in the title. Lmao what are you on, dude?
