Landscape Photography Heaven In The Ogwen Valley

I head to a very wet and gloomy North Wales this week to the beautiful Ogwen Valley in Snowdonia National Park.
The rain did not stop so I tried to make the best of a bad situation and create some mood with the camera.

Lovely intro Karl... I love the Ogwen. I think Cwm Ogwen has it's own weather as you can bed in the next valley in sunshine and get to the Ogwen to find the damp wet stuff stuff. I once spent 2 days in there - I actually stayed in the YHA rather than my tent - bupmed into another tog uo on tghe Lloer who said he had been in sunshine for 2 days at Llanberis..lol. Better to stay safe when the water is running like that mate - good choice. atb Al

Lovely location and some great images. Not been there since pre covid, due to crowds, but might try early next year. Never seen the one next to the building. The last shot, next to the road, you included the tree, which j I saw was blowing around a lot. Baring in mind you shoot slow for the water, what do you do re the tree. I have tried stacking with a faster shutter speed but it can be faffy.

Hi pal...thanks again. A meet there in the new year would be good.. As for the tree...I normally shoot around 1/6th ot thereabouts but in this case it was even quicker into the thousamdths because of how fast the water was. So the tree was frozen on the rare chance of that flow. If the water was less heavy I would have Stacked and blended mate
