Lovely images Eddie. Fog makes so much of a difference at Padley to help cut through the chaos. I’ve only ever had fog there once and that was over Christmas and was really pleased with the images I captured that day.

Thanks Anthony. It really is a place where ‘point and click’ works!

Cheers! I hope you find some more enjoyable scenes, despite the big lad often being in the way.

You got some great moody shots that day Eddie. I'd never heard of Padley gorge till I started watching your vids. Was there in Autumn for the first time walking around like a lost dog but got a few good shots that I was happy with. Definitely going back through this year now I've got my bearings of the place!

@@Tresgringos-wtf all woodland can be a maze of both opportunity and frustration. Keep visiting if you can, mixing up the seasons/weather, I’m pretty sure it pays off. :)

Superb vlog and really great shots Eddie. What an amazing place Padley is, any time of year. I usually park at Grindleford and go to the gorge at that end, not sure if I’ve been that far up. Time to go back me thinks.

I park at the top as it’s free and I’m a broke-ass loser. Also, it’s a treat to visit the cafe when I’m halfway done. Especially if Craig is paying (he wasn’t)

Another fantastic video Eddie I have been to padley gorge but started at the bottom and never got that far up. so great shots mate.

Thanks Danny, well worth doing the full loop. Start at the top where I park so you can visit the café half way!

Well to be honest I’ve never photographed trees as I couldn’t see any great compositions when I was amongst them. However your vlog and images have inspired me to go back to Padley gorge, a place I haven’t visited in over thirty years, and see what I can create.

It's a great place to flex those creative muscles, the trees, the rocks and the brook offer lots of scenes to contemplate. I hope you have a productive visit!

What a morning good job Always a difficult location I find you get unlucky more often then you luck at this place. That is mostly apart from autumn

I agree that getting ‘banger’ shots, even with all of its stunning charm’ can be difficult anyplace, even Padley. Yet, it energises me, and I find myself working a little harder to ‘see’ what I’m patently missing. I only ever walk away from a place wondering what I missed, not what was missing. Keeps me honest.

G'day Eddie...It looks like a giant hand has thrown a massive amount of rocks around Padley Gorge. I do enjoy your walks and your commentary through your favorite parts of the Peake District. You said you were using the DJ action 5 camera. How do you get the vision when you walk away from the camera. Is your wifey taking these shots or have you set up the pocket 3 camera on a tripod. Anyway well done.
@EddieSkelson2 күн бұрын
I shoot all my video solo. The ‘follow’ shots are the DJI NEO in action. Anything else is a tripod mounted cam (Action/Pocket/R5) and in the edit (depending on the resolution) I’ll pan or zoom as feels appropriate.

Enjoyed the video but am I the only one to notice that a section from 14.36 would appear to be "mirrored" or did you change cameras to a left had grip LOL ?
@EddieSkelson2 күн бұрын
That’s almost certainly going be me swapping from the Action 5 to the Pocket 3 and not flipping the image in Davinci. :)
