The hike certainly made me realise how unfit I was. I tried to create a video while I was away but it was difficult to find the time and I wasn't happy with the quality of the edit. So that meant I was off-line while I was away. I'll make up for it now I'm back. I felt the same way, when we past certain locations I knew exactly where I was as I had seen it before in other videos. It was great to experience it for myself. I just got back from Scotland last week, another beautiful location in the Highlands and on the Isle of Mull. I had forgotten how much sleep you loose because of the long daylight hours. This time of year it doesn't get dark until 10.30pm and gets light at 4.30am. Where to next time?

I'm sure Adam told you this but Haysatck was one of Alfred Wainwright's favourite places. Wainwright wrote the series of Pictorial Guides to the Lakeland Fells as well as many other guide books. They have sold millions of copies. His ashes are scattered over Innominate Tarn near the summit of Haystacks. The tarn was one of those photographed by Adam in his video.

Adam did share some of Alfred Wainwright's story. I knew the walk was one of his favourites however I don't think I was aware that his ashes had been scattered there. It's such an amazing location, I can see why it means so much to so many people. I feel very lucky to have experienced it for myself.
