Hi, James. What amazing nature, raw and untouched by man. These are no longer KZbin videos, this is a documentary about amazing nature in England. You are a blessed person, James, that you can walk around here and enjoy it. I can see that it is not the easiest path you have taken, but I think it is the most beautiful. Those changing skies between and above the mountains, man, man, man, this is beautiful. And then you get to the top and see all those people, brrr. I also like to be alone when I go to take pictures, doing my own thing. If you show the image of the mountains and say "This is what you do it for" then I can completely imagine that, friend. A beautiful walk with beautiful photos. You have had another wonderful day. Until your next video, Antoine.

Thanks Antoine. Solitude is a great thing and there were still plenty moments of that

My memory of the top of Scafell Pike is rain, coldness, cloud/mist, no views whatsoever, and a local guide who missed a right turn on the way down. We had to retrace our steps and gathered a few other "lost" souls on the way. Good company and fond memories though. Through your wonderful photographs I know now what I missed. Thank you, James.

Does that guide still….guide😳 I’ve lucky both times I’ve been with the views. I have to say however, it was a tad busier this time. The lure of the mountain for the less experienced certainly has its downfalls. Appreciate your kind words Lizzie 👍

I wish people wouldn't be complete idiots when taking to the fells. What did they expect when they arrived at Wasdale. A trail of breadcrumbs leading to the summit of Sca Fell? Signposts every 5m? No wonder Mountain Rescue get tired of people such as these. A trio of walkers (just one letter different actually) asked me for directions to Kinder Downfall. We were a couple of hundred yards along the start of the Pennine Way. I asked to see their map and they proceeded to show me a leaflet they'd picked up from the cafe. I informed them that the weather wasn't going to be good up there, the tops were covered in clag. "It's alright, I've got a phone, I can always give the Mountain Rescue a call. ARGH! Brilliant set of images, love every single one of them, especially black and white. Thanks for the outing James.

Cheers Steve. The attraction of Sca Fell pike lures the best in people… not 😬 Not my fav fell but has to be done. They forget mountain rescue are volunteers and should not be an assumption!

Thanks for bringing back some memories from 1977. I had mono film in my OM 1 and probably a 50mm lens only but the views of Piers Gyll and surrounding fells are still clear. Super conditions for you and you took some excellent images.

Thank you Trevor. Piers gill certainly grabs attention and sure it hasn’t changed much in the last 50 years

Always good to the big 'un done, despite the crowds, and a good choice of routes up & down. Great set of pictures, thanks for the vlog.

Lovely light and sublime shots, thanks for those, brought a few memories back. On one trip to Sca fell pike and to avoid the crowds I went up the nose of Lingmell fell, bloody hell what a hard pull but gets gentle when Goat crag comes in to view.
@JamesRBurnsVLOG17 күн бұрын
Thanks Iain. It certainly brought the mood. I went up the nose of Lingmell on my 1st round and yeah, it’s a toughy. Not that easy coming down after a days hike as well.

Some beautiful images there young man. We get very little in terms of bare rock where I am, generally just swathes of green. Trees manage to grown on stone cliffs somehow. I see you are old school, breakfast, dinner and tea. When I moved down to that London when I was 18 I eventually succumbed to breakfast, lunch and dinner plus beer with no head 😉
@JamesRBurnsVLOG18 күн бұрын
Cheers Ian. I do look a good swathe of green to be honest when walking. Old school? Dinner and Tea is how it is… no argument there! 🤨

Unprepared... I agree. 🤨 I've known people to set out on a long cross-country drive with no idea where to go other than, "I'll just follow my phone." Yikes... hope the battery and connection are good! Not me! 🙂 But wow - The scenery! I'd be stopping very 10m to take a photo (since any 10m is light years better than *anything* we have here in Louisiana). Great stuff!
@JamesRBurnsVLOG17 күн бұрын
Yep. Lost little souls. I’m guilty of relying on my phone too much but I’m packed just n case and got a good general idea where I am. Lovely scenery as you say. Cheers 👍
