In this video, I fail bigly. I squander some really great opportunities but find some compositions I will definitely revisit in the future. I also stumble into Mills lake... gracefully. We see some great photography conditions and come away with a couple of decent images.

This was the best photography video I have seen to date. This was a true experience of landscape photography and I love how you are thankful for the experience. Thanks

Thank you, David! I really appreciate it! Been way too long since I’ve made it out for any mountain photography. Hoping to fix that in the very near future. Hope to see you out there!

Love this, shows the other side of landscape/wildlife photography! Would you mind sharing the location of the river?

Thank you! It’s just off bear lake road. Moraine park. You can’t miss it. Also a great campground there but I believe it’s closed this season for maintenance.

I’ve been enjoying your videos! I feel your pain shooting at RMNP. It’s one of the harder parks to shoot at. You either have empty blue bird skies or total cloud coverage!

I really appreciate it! I complain about the park but the reality is it’s such a gorgeous place. I just want Mother Nature to hand me my images on a silver platter :)

The struggle is real. Good conditions for photography in the mountains of Colorado really do seem controlled by luck. No amount of weather watching or perpetration seem to overcome that luck factor. Enjoy the suck until it doesn't suck.

Haha you are so right. I don't even look at the forecast anymore, there's just no reason to. I think you captured it perfectly. Just keep going until it doesn't suck.

Nice work man! I wouldn't call the last image horrible, but it's always great to know ways to improve next time!

Thank you! July is the one of the best times to visit RMNP as it's when most of the wildflowers will be in bloom. I have a couple of camping trips next month as well. I hope you get great conditions!

@@MrNegative thanks so much. Hope you have a fantastic camping trip too. Any suggestions on where to see wildlife like black bear or moose?
@MrNegative

Black bear are throughout but very good at avoiding people so I rarely see any. If I do see one it's usually the tail end as it runs away. For moose, moraine park is great. My video next week shows the area and there were 4 moose (two bulls, and a mother/baby. So make sure you check out that video to see the area. The hike I did was the cub lake loop. 6 miles and not a terrible amount of elevation. You could also park at the fern lake trail head and hike to cub lake and back as an in and out.
