amazing work!! absolutely beautiful! I'd would of left some of the track with a caboose as a play area for kids and the remaining old track area into a bike path.

What a great idea. I was planning to make the two abutments into fishing docks and a walkway up to them, but a pedestrian and cycling bridge is a good idea. May be the racoons will not venture out on such a small structure. It's worth a try.

@ maybe a Viaduct type will be sturdy. I mean, at least that way if you decide to run a train there again you could easily convert it back.

Wow!..Wonderful layout! I'm always amazed when I see it. When something like this happens to my work, I do the same as you. I take advantage of the disaster and create new opportunities. Congratulations! I think I've said this in other videos, but I'll say it again here. I lose the sense of scale of your work, because it seems so real. I think it's incredible. A question I ask myself every time I watch your videos... How do you keep all the props (people, vehicles, etc.) clean and intact? I can imagine the work it takes to keep everything clean. When the storms come, do you remove everything or do they stay out in the open? Congratulations on the beautiful work

Thank you for watching and for your very encouraging comments. You are asking how do I keep all the props and little people clean and intact. I put them out every spring and collect them every fall, they are brought inside. The buildings get repaired and stored, the little folks are washed, sorted, inspected and if needed they get repainted. I make no special effort to protect anything from the weather. Nothing gets particularly dirty, except when something is placed on open soil or on a sandy surface. Then a bit of washing down with the garden hose is needed after a rain storm.
