Growing up here in NW FL we use to go campout on the intercoastal in Navarre for 1 to 2 weeks at a time....my mom caught a nice calico grouper off the beach that looked a lot like those grouper. Very good eating. Now that was some 50 years ago....still great memories, especially since we lost her last year.

What is the reason you hook the shrimp.in the tail rather than between the eyes?
@Chadgonefishing3 жыл бұрын
Snapper tend to grab the head first, then start to eat while swimming away. Tail hooking allows the shrimp to pop naturally before getting eaten.

The space between the two bridges are either coral reefs or sand bars. I dove one in September and you would float across grass then coral reef then grass. That’s probably why that one platform was full of fish cause it was sitting on a reef

I'm glad to see you keeping fish to eat. A lot of guys on KZbin are way too into the conservation side of the sport. Not that conservation isn't important too. But, it's good that fishing for food is still encouraged. So, much better and healthier than any farmed fish you're going to get at the supermarket.

You know that tape measure starts at the very end of that chrome plated rectangle right? You added an inch to the grouper by starting at the yellow tape part.
@LandsharkOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
No it doesn’t and we had law enforcement check it as well
@shanek65823 жыл бұрын
@@LandsharkOutdoors i could care less about the legality of the grouper but you’re dead wrong about that tape measure. Go look at it, the chrome rectangle is one inch, it has a fold down lever that goes 90*, it’s designed to hook on a nail when you measure long distances.
