I've had many powerfull bikes in my life , xr 650, tt 500, v strom 1000, kdx 250 etc... and now at 53 years old I would be just happy with this little guy. Just proves that we can have a lot of fun with smaller bikes. Thanks for the video and keep on riding !!

GREAT BIKE. But if you are over 190 lbs... You may want to move up to a 250. Or do some serious suspension work. I just sit on my sons 125FB, and at 6' 205 (All muscle) I nearly bottom it out.

There are zero aftermarket plastics available for this bike, I threw a 53 rear sprocket and that made the gears all around more usable. I also upgraded the shift lever and a supporting bracket/cover for the front sprocket which also supports the shifter so you don't brake the crank. Diamond minis makes some great stuff and has quick delivery.

Great video. I'm glad I found it before I spent $4500 on a Talaria Sting e- moto. I want to trail ride and go camping, no street, and I couldn't imagine having to buy a bunch of extra crap, then wait 3+ hours to charge an ebike on my day off. Less than $10 gas to ride all day, And it's a Honda, I've had 5 Hondas in the 80s and 90s and they were great. 👍👍

I like that you add in third person clips but I think you should only show one not the out to camera back to camera like in this video. Just pick wether you think the clip of riding up to the camera or away from the camera looks better and then pick one IMO

I think another nice touch could be only using the camera audio instead of the on bike audio, helps for creating a sense of scale to the camera and prevents the monotone exaust note from being too droning. thoughts?

Any reason why you didn't go with a klx140rl, besides looks? I'm torn between the 140RL and 125FB as a play and buddy bike. Are you able to modulate slow wheelies with that rear drum brake?
@ThomperBeThompin2 жыл бұрын
Between those two bikes I would definitely go with the KLX. It's a little bit bigger, more power, as a five-speed gearbox as well. I cannot modulate the rear brake on this Honda to save my life, but there are others who probably can. I'm also pretty terrible at wheelies lol. If I could do it over again I'd get the KLX140 with the bigger tires.

@@DreamVicarious I have both (125FB & 250f), and they both will bottom out with factory suspension. The 125 is a fun bike, but it’s not very comfortable to ride for any extended period of time. I’m 6ft 185lbs and just have to hunch over too much when standing. The 125 is fun around the farm, and it’s a real glutton for punishment, but you’ll be wishing you went with the 250 pretty quickly. I’ve only been riding 3 or so months, and I mostly use the 125 to get the mail, run the dogs, or to play around doing wheelies with. Don’t get me wrong though, it’s a good bike, it will just need a lot of modifications to make it work as a dedicated bike for larger adults. But that’s just my opinion.

With all the updates you did on this bike would you have been better off looking at the crf150r?
@ThomperBeThompin Жыл бұрын
Possibly. It really depends on what you're after. For me, yeah it probably made more sense, but they are still MUCH more expensive than the 125fs. What makes the 125F special is that basically anyone can ride it and have fun, beginners - experts. the 150R might be a bit too much bike for some beginners. I also like that the 125F is very quiet. For some that might be a big factor. I'm glad Honda offers both!
