Cost per gallon is certainly important. One thing to consider, though, is that there are 250 TA/Petros, but 500 Loves, and 750 Pilot/ Flying Js in the US. So if meticulous trip planning isn’t your thing it may be worth paying more and building loyalty credits at a chain with more outlets. Not advocating this, just pointing it out. Great videos, learning a lot!

Your own fuel cards are how you build large amounts of business credit. Huge amount of points on whatever program you decide to go with too.

Just a heads up, if you have a pilot rewards card, you can use that at speedway to get points! Also shower credits for Pilot/J

I have acid reflux/ GERD, my doctor recommended wearing lose clothing around the waist/ abdomen area to reduce pressure. I often wear suspenders vs a belt, it does help a lot, I really notice a difference between the two!

you probably need to go and change the setting. You set it up the program to show what you want to see, you might have to reinstall it to set it up to show the discounts.

I've never been over the road or a owner. But im strongly considering buying me a truck and leasing onto landstar. Could a guy bring home 2500 to 3500 a week at landstar after fuel and stuff?

Yes, my average take home after everything out before tax is about $500/day.

How much of OTR experience do you have to have before Land starwill hire you sounds like a pretty good deal at Landstar and really thinking of going over the road but I want to do it with a company that I’ll let me pick my own loads With no touch freight I have very good credit I’d like to start my own business as an owner operator through a lease purchase something without any miles on it because I have no mechanical skills I have been driving commercial vehicles for 30 years now just not over the road started out working for the highway department driving 10 wheel dump truck and pulling a tilt trailer to haul heavy equipment I actually started driving before they had CDL‘s and then had to take the test when they came out with them I have also hauled fuel in a 10 wheel tanker truck And for the past 12 years I’ve been driving a 40 foot transit bus hauling problem adults and I’m sick of dealing with people

From what I understand you need 1yr OTR they are considering 300miles in one direction not round trip so 600miles round trip as otr.
