Can you explain how the lease process works? Do I lease from SFI etc and then become a independent contractor at Landstar? Is the truck pay a separate expense or do you pay it through Landstar?

Not if you’re local. You need to have a year of over the road experience in the last 3 years. I bought the truck at pride truck sales and leased to landstar. Its a separate expense ( nothing to do with landstar )
