I already listened the whole album but this track is my favorite so far. I think the lyrics talks about a person who has been self-prisoned in his comfort zone and the only thing he has been doing for all this time, is to stare that "road" in front of him, as life goes by. Afraid to follow it because he doesn't know where the road will take him and the only thing he can do, is to stare that road. Is kinda sad to say that this track is so relatable in many aspects on my life, but having a song which i can feel myself in it, it's a relief and an inspiration at the same time. I've been watching the road for a long time, and i think is time to follow it to the end! *Thanks Arctic Lake & Lane 8 for this*

life changed so much since I found this song, the last time I listened to this song I was amidst a lot of friends back home in California, after covid we kinda all split and moved. I now solo travel around the world trying to find myself. I come back to this song to remember the good days with good people.

Most of This Never Happened will have feels like this. Lane 8 first popped onto the scene on Anjunadeep so check them out too. These vocals are special combined with this electronic production style. Lane 8 is very unique in many ways - this track specifically in that he mixes the right feel & vibe with amazing vocalists. His tracks with Polica are excellent and similar style.

Before my daughter was born, my second child. My wife had to stay overnight at the hospital due to complications, my son was staying at Grannies. Because of COVID restrictions I wasn't allowed to stay in the hospital. So every night, while complications occured. I had to go home on my own. One cold September night, I looked out the window of the car and felt a strange pull to stop. I got out of the car. And looked at the world before me (I was very high up in the hills in our area so the town I lived in was illumated below). I just stood for a few minutes watching the world go by, the stars above. I took the phone out of my pocket and launched youtube. And went here - because it matched perfectly. The view, the lights, the darkness. The uncertainty of what was coming with our new arrival... I was scared and hopeful all at the same time. I'll never forget the night sky the night I listend to Lane 8 - Road

I found this in a random spotify playlist a couple of weeks back. I was listening to it while I was working and did only notice a couple of songs further (apparently a bit sub-consciously) that I just listened to an awesome track. Due to some issue, I wasn't able to go back to the last played songs and the shuffle feature made it impossible for me to identify which song it was. Just now, a couple of minutes ago, I found it again, and I was so happy :) Had to go to youtube to see if anyone else feels like I do. Apparently many do. What a great track, thank you!
