Would you rather to have a bye week or immediately play an opponent this week? What do you think of Juice Wells moving to the slot?

We desperately need a bye week because we're so beat up. And I don't understand why why they haven't put Juice in better situations because he has pretty much been a non factor

You have to catch the ball before you can run after the catch. Don’t think his hands will get much better if he is one that is scared of getting smoked across the middle. I think he should be on the bench personally.
@MikeyHunter.realtor2 күн бұрын
Here we are halfway through the season & I’m still asking myself, “Are we really not putting Juice into multiple YAC opportunities?!” If you look at his 22 season’s highlights? Hell probably 400 alone was for YAC on WR screens. This is what Bill Flowers was talking about last year with the ball needed to come out quicker & I still agree. By attacking the triangle you put up that would help in so many ways. Helps o line, Dart’s rhythm, & opens the entire offense. The big plays will come when they’re ready not forced.
@rickrhoden15 күн бұрын
Totally agree with your comments about the passing--more short, middle of field throws. But that seems so obvious that I wonder why it's not been implemented already. We should never have lost that LSU game; a win there would have changed the whole narrative around Ole Miss. Short throws and using tight ends more would get the ball out quicker and save hits on Dart.
@lukeshaw42875 күн бұрын
I think the team itself is really a little better on offense than last year. More chemistry on the o line would help us the most. Praying we can get that boost asap because that’ll really make this offense significantly better than last years. We’re not getting as lucky this year as last year. Much more close close stuff isn’t going our way where it did a year ago.
@wahoodal08965 күн бұрын
Dart’s issue has always been he doesn’t go through progressions. He is a one look passer. You keep saying Ole Miss doesn’t throw over the middle. It’s not Ole Miss it’s Dart doesn’t check down. He is holding the team back against good competition. Nothing will work unless the QB scans the field for the open receiver.
@westnash4 күн бұрын
Totally true and I am skeptical if he can ever be a Pro QB......and the coach isnt helping him get there it seems because he never mentions this.
@jakemitchell16714 күн бұрын
Not exactly accurate, but it's a very good point. If given enough time (too much time for the O line in most cases) he will check down to his RB in the flats. But overall you're correct. Lane and Charlie have done him wrong, in that they won't scheme to accommodate his weaknesses, which is what Steven is talking about. We have massive talent in receivers and tight ends. Yet Prieskorn has something like 10 catches all year - the same number he achieved against Penn State (ONE game). The tight end and Bentley issues make me question just how good Lane is. Lane is one of the very, very few OM coaches that has the benefit of an excellent defense. And he's squandering it. The "Last Dance" might very well yield 8-4.
@wahoodal08964 күн бұрын
@@jakemitchell1671 you make some great points, but Lane has a stellar record with QBs. Look at the variety he had at Alabama and won with all of them. There were none of these issues with his offense there, or when Matt Corral was the QB. I am sure they have tried with Dart but it’s not working. Lane did hitch his wagon to him so he is stuck with the outcome this year. I have never liked Dart’s ability against tough competition. He seems to get tight. If the intended target is not open we have big problems.
@jakemitchell16713 күн бұрын
@@wahoodal0896 We agree on the main points for sure. I realize Dart's numbers are impressive, but like you say they are primarily compiled against questionable opposition. Watching Altmyer lead Illinois I sometimes wonder.....oh well...doesn't matter. Dart is an amazing leader and team captain. He had everything to do with the transfers and convincing guys to stay for this season. My fear is that the culture will now weaken - if not break down - as the "last dance" is hanging by a thread. The defense has done their job for the most part, yet questionable schemes and personnel choices on offense have offset their contribution.

Juice has to absolutely get the ball more & I’m not talking about taking the top off. I would say Lee would be the option with superb route running & doesn’t lack the speed. 🏃♂️YAC is huge for Juice.

I think after going through most of the game without any targets, Juice mind is already out of the game because all he is doing is getting cardio and blocking. No team can defend Watkins, Wells, Wade ‘3DUB’ and Tre at the same time. And we got 2 tight ends who can ball. Dart needs to know everybody’s route on every play and make adjustments at the line. If he do that, Ole Miss look like the team everybody expected them to be

Watched your podcast Kiffin to fla, you never mentioned why most coaches WOULD go to Florida, if he wants championships? Go to fla sec or Natl, is proved it can be done twice, fla has much better resources for recruiting, I love how you didn't mention that to your fan base lol, if he don't care about championships? Then I agree, stay at Ole Miss. Heck Mullin and Mcalwain (twice) went to the SEC championship game, Lane could do better.

Do you really think Kiffin doesnt know this? This is becoming too much clickbait headlines. Dart needs a back or other protection to stay back to keep him from getting sacked. Dart can't dart, he cant go through progressions it is obvious.
