I'm reading the comment section and I am highly disturbed by the fact that he is being thirst over. Scrutinising their case for a few months now, I do believe their 'abuse excuse' story and I felt that they were quite genuine as their claims and other testimonies (from teachers, Tennis coach, Lifeguard, family members, and friends), plus photographic evidence actually lined up. Having said so, sexualising them (Erik especially) is therefore disturbing for me given what he's been through all his childhood. I do hope they will be retried.
@xxwhispersxx28562 жыл бұрын
Same. And another thing to is when they were examined by psychiatrists during the trial, the doctors found that Erik had the emotional mentality of an eight year old and Lyle had the emotional mentality of a 12 year old. They were children in adult bodies at this time. I mean, why would you thirst over that?
@annalisavajda2522 жыл бұрын
@@xxwhispersxx2856 well child abuse victims do have stunted development sometimes. They were attractive looking men though no crime to say so but unfortunately maybe some envied them looked rich and handsome "privileged" so wanted them convicted though their motive was justified. If an attractive looking woman is raped and kills her attacker would society be ok with that? She would probably be slut shamed too so much victim blaming historically. I don't think people should judge a book by its cover though and assume living in hell while being abused is a "privileged" life regardless of finances. I left a domestic abuser who had a little money though he didn't when I met him he just found a decent job later and honestly I would rather starve and live in filth and poverty than ever share another meal with him money did not make him less disgusting if anything he was less abusive before because money makes people feel more powerful and controlling over others he was not a generous or loving person but some may have thought I was lucky to be with him just from outward appearances he seemed nice enough. They don't live with him though and get abused by him. I believe those brothers wholeheartedly that was a crime of passion and self defense Erik had had enough and just been told he could not leave to go to college so he felt trapped and desperate I would think. I highly doubt had they reported abuse to police they would have had justice then either or their parents would have been convicted of anything.

Eric isn't moody or being unbothered! He is on the verge of a mental breakdown! He hadn't slept well in 7 months, racked with guilt, nightmares, couldn't get the images of his dead parents out of his head...just to name a few things. Both are obviously very scared. Once Leslie Abramson and Jill Lansing take over as lawyers, the boys tell about the SA. It's such a tragic situation before the killings, after and 35 years later. They were abused by parents, the media, and abused by the system. If anything is learned from this story, it is that boys\men do get SA and many don't tell. I'm sure in 1993 many SA males saw how these boys weren't believed and solidified their stance on never telling!

Criticizing one's own parents when they are poor, ugly, alcoholic, etc. is generally accepted. But to criticize your parents when they are preppy notables... that makes all the preppy notables in the country tremble, judges and lawyers included (a big part of whom were educated with black pedagogy, i.e. abusive discipline, at least). That's why they paid so much. It's a pure case of denial. They were silenced so that the notables wouldn't have to keep in front of them this scandalous spectacle of children who had finally rebelled against their parents.

So many people here saying how upset they are because they are being prosecuted for killing for money and not their defense. Well, the boys hadn't told about the SA yet. They tried to hold on, not tell and just accept the circumstances for their crime. Would rather go to jail or risk the death penalty before ever telling the family secrets.

‘financial gain’ is crazy. we all know it was self defence and not for the money. they just wanted out of the abuse and they did their time and they deserve to be free.

I don’t think they’d have been killed. I think the abuse would continue, as José had such control over them. In THEIR minds, their parents could kill them....but, the likelihood is that the intimidation alone should have settled this, according to José. He never expected them to retaliate to him like this, as they never had pushed back before. José knew if he killed them, he’d have been caught. Do you really think he would have taken that chance?? Absolutely not.
@Jacky_1153 жыл бұрын
@@pommiebears I agree and disagree. If José did kill them, he'd be a bit more likely to get away with it because he was so wealthy and so on. Second, José threatened to kill them if they ran away again. (Manipulation). Honestly, I think killing them was the right thing to do.. the abuse would've continued.. No, they could not report it to a police. They wouldn't believe them.

pretty much everyone in this comment section is watching this because of erik. this is a murder trial and all of you little girls commenting nasty shit and saying inappropriate things about erik are gross. him and his brother were sexually molested when they were little and saying those things are making everything worse.

Erik looks possessed by evil in this video. I mean can you really blame him he was raised by monsters. My heart breaks for both of them and also the cousin who was so traumatized by what happened and suffered from guilt and night terrors for not saying anything and ultimately died. God so many young people suffered from those monsters. I believe them because they actually look happier in prison. Their lives must have been absolute hell on earth.
